KcTotals Blog - Pre-Total Awards Discussion (EXCLUSIVE!!!!)
So December is coming up in 2 months, which mean’s that the 1st ever Total Awards will take place. The nominees will be announced in late November, but for now, I can give you a preview of how the awards may turn out.
There will be more than 10 categories, some will be less important than others, but the speculation remains. Who will win most awards? Will it be Timbaland who bombards 2007 with a trio of very important songs? Or will it be the legendary Avril that will sweep the floor with her biggest competitor Rihanna, who has never stopped giving us great tracks? What if it is someone else? Maybe 50 Cent and Kanye giving Hip Hop a mass breakout? We’ll see.
RnB wasn’t as potent as last year, but that shouldn’t stop heavy hitters Rihanna and Keysia Cole from owning the category. But what if Ne-Yo pulls off an unexpected feat and lands Because of You on top of the heap? If that wasn’t enough, Nicole Scherzinger may have more success than her entire album if she snags the award for her potent song Whatever You Like. These seem to be leading, but don’t expect Alicia Keys and Paula DeAnda to sit and watch.
I won’t give any more information about any more categories, so you’ll have to wait…
But what about Best Song?!?!?!
Ok, I’ll give you some hints! Rihanna is the strongest contender with 3 songs struggling to be nominated….but which shall it be? And will Timbaland redeem himself after 0 UWC no.1’s by snagging this award? Justin Timberlake, still wants to avenge his loss, after My Love was narrowly beaten by Say It Right for the top award. Shall it be one of his solo efforts or shall one of his 2 and possibly 3 duets come on top? Sugababes shall have to bring down Sophie Ellis-Bextor once again, even though their biggest battle is for best pop. Or shall Avril bring back memories of victory from her past efforts and be the standout of the evening…..What about the longshots? Hilary Duff has a very strong chance with one of her best singles ever, but MIKA and Christina Aguilera are already on the road to victory…..so much speculation…and what about Nelly Furtado? Shall she flop bigger than her last single or shall All Good Things redeem all her recent wrong choices.
Stay Tuned 4 more!
