Talking with my friend about this I just realiy noticed it seems like:
1st single - hit-mild hit
2nd single - dull R&B hit
3rd single - overseas or lucky to even get one on radio.
I expected Brandy to live up to her chatter about oh "this is my Control album" actually bringing some heat during Put It Down performances and the video. Seems like once that R&B radio thing came into effect and PID tanked soon after her confidence is shot to the grave.
It makes no sense, as my friend said, that Keri Hilson who has no project to push and Ciara who can't even produce and album before year end can get on the small stages like VH1 Divas and scrape up any promo they can get off of it and Brandy is sitting at yet another awards show/multi-artist show and gives yet another Whitney Houston speech.
No shade but she's looking more like glammed up Bobbi Kristina at award shows than an R&B artist with a freshly released album out and a 2nd single that seems to only be pitched for Urban A/C.
I need a Brandy stan in here ASAP to answer this, I'm not 2/11's biggest supporter but as someone who loves Brandy material if this is "for her fans" why the **** is she not giving you your coins worth with this era? She has really went Monica/New Life lately.
