I think Cuckoo is kinda campy as well and even when it's catchy I'm not sure the general public will buy it. I think RCA is scared of releasing an upbeat track cause they fear the public is not here for that from him. Note how Adam's best charting songs are Whataya Want From Me and Mad World. I really think Never Close Our Eyes has a shot for becoming another Top 10 hit (with the right promotion) just because of the good lyrics.

BTIKM flopped but after being released 5 ****ing months before the album release I'm kinda glad it did. NCOE was released 3 freaking days ago. The promo's starting to kick in (Jimmy Kimmel, American Idol, etc) and the album is not even out yet. RCA will try to do their best to save the era. You guys are talking about it as if the album has been in stores for a couple months and it's struggling to sell 200k.

I know where you are coming from, the era has been a mess in the sense that the first single was released nearly half a year ago and the promotion was a mess and the music video came out 2 months later. Adam officially has the right to ***** NCOE out. I want him to be everywhere and RCA can put all their money into making this song a hit. Tbh.

Another thing I've been wanting to say. I am not here for people claiming For Your Entertainment was a better album when Trespassing comes out. FYE was rush-released and was recorded throughout the Idols Live Tour and they had 3 months to put it together whilst on the road. Most of the songs were written by famous songwriters/singers and they were kinda thrown into the mix for Adam.

Trespassing is 10x more Adam. Not only he executive produced it (his money) but he wrote at least 7 out of 11 tracks and was involved at every step of the recording. The only songs he didn't influence that much were the two singles released so far. Even "Underneath" that was not written by him was highly influenced by him cause he had a lot of trouble recording the song the way he wanted it and became frustrated about it. He then realized that the unease he felt about the song was better left alone.

That's definitely true. His mid-tempos have more more universal, the uptempos tend to get campy, which is Adam's style and I love it but sadly it's not great for radio. But Cuckoo is very infectious and despite the camp is better than half the **** radio is playing so, I hope he has a surprise hit like WWFM.

I know the era's far from over though and there is still hope for NCOE. I'm just worried since this album is amazing and I want it to have the success it deserves.

They have my blessing to blatantly overexpose his ass until people use him. Better yet they should apply martial law until he gets another top 10 hit

I want NCOE to pave the way and then it'd be the time for Cuckoo to finish it and cement him. He's often very underrated in the Pop industry and no one expects him to find success, despite him having talent to spare.

I wish Dr. Luke gave him some generic-as-**** pop song which he could of released as the first single and it would of been extremely successful and then the album could be everything it is now and it would sell well.

Another thing that gives me a good feeling is that Adam was very well promoted overseas during his first era. If RCA thought he was just another local Idol contestant they wouldn't have bothered, at that point it was evident "For Your Entertainment" wasn't going to become a huge smash. I always had the impression they were promoting him overseas so people would have an idea of who he was and then with his next era (that is now 26 days away ) make him smash worldwide. Now it's the time for that RCA Get it together and start the promo.

For my news I use either this facebook group or this blogspot. I also follow a bunch of Glamberts on Twitter so that's as far as my interaction with them goes, and this forum I guess. I joined a few glambert forums but I didn't really enjoy my stay there. Some can get quite sensitive and/or obsessed.

If a rushed album like FYE can snatch a 71 on metacritic then imagine what Trespassing is going to get Tracks like Broken English and Underneath are going to have the critics going nuts.
