The only reason DIL happened is because of the hype of the surprise release. If she would've released it a few months earlier before the album release it wouldn't have done as well in the US.

All of the descriptions were contradictory. The one consistent thing was that it's "classic Mariah", whatever the hell that means.

The lamb fan that heard it said it's not a WBT rehash, so that's a huge plus for me.

Another clue is it will be pushed towards "Top 40 Mainstream and Rhythmic" on May 5 and "Hot Adult Contemporary" on Radio so it will be sonically similar or maybe different to "#Beautiful" ? I guess?

You clearly don't if you think the surprise release hype is the only reason why DIL did well. Not when Urban ate Love on Top and Dance For You prior to the surprise release, ate Drunk In Love during the surprise release, and continued to eat Partition, Flawless & the remix, and 7/11 well over a year post-surprise release. Sit.
