Start Of New Rules
As I said last week, I will be changing the retirement rules back to the way they were before when I didn't retire them as soon as it hit 15 weeks. So a song can stay on for 100 weeks and if it falls of will retire. I will also be bringing back 2 songs that retired, so they can re-enter. If you wanna choose one, you can. But I've got my mind set on Danity Kane's Damaged and Chris Brown's Forever.
Jordin, Chris, Ne*Yo & Flo Retire
The last four artists to retire on the old rules are Jordin Sparks, Chris Brown, Ne*Yo & Flo Rida. Jordin Sparks has the longest running song on the chart since Britney's Gimme More. No Air stayed on the chart for 30 weeks peaking at #1 for 2 weeks. Britney's Gimme More originally peaked at #1 for 3 weeks in October '07 and retired this year after 35 weeks. We also have Chris Brown's fourth retired single. Forever has stayed on the chart for 16 weeks and peaked at #1 for 3 weeks. We also have Ne*Yo's Closer and Flo Rida's Elevator which both peaked at #3 and retire after 15 weeks each.
P!nk, Eric Prydz, Flo Rida & Ami Debut
This week we have P!nk's long awaited new single "So What" debuting at #36. The song which leaked last week has already been given great response by members here at ATRL and is already at #2 on Australia's iTunes. This is gonna be a big hit in the coming months but I know it's gonna be struggling for the #1 spot competing against Eric Prydz and Katy Perry, yes I know these definitely will all be battling for the #1 spot. Flo Rida's In The Ayer is the third single off of Mail On Sunday to debut on the chart. And finally after a rush of JPop fans here, I have been listening to Ami Suzuki's One, and let's just say it's the second JPop single ever to debut on the chart. Go Ami
