I think a middle road would be somewhat acceptable... something with small religious elements but not a forced state religious practice.

They're not as rigid as that suggests though.

Greece:

I think this is why Norway is orange:

Argentina:

The state grants the Roman Catholic Church economical support and default legal personality, based on the second article of the Constitution... I don't see the connection between religion and virtue, considering there are nearly as many decidedly non-virtuous people who call themselves religious as those who do right for the world.

Not exactly. Most of them are orange because their constitution/government/whatever maintains some connection with the church--in Argentina it's that the powers that be lend economic support, in Norway it's that the royal family has to be Lutheran, etc--but they still allow religious freedom for their citizens.

I think Greece is officially Greek Orthodox because so many Greek people practice it, though.
