Nah, they wouldn't skip Black Friday. Single late October, album the week before BF.

They probably want to see how far they can push this. Loud was her "coming back" album so this is sorta her Rated R part 2...the album coming off of a successful era.

Rihanna recorded full blown Dubstep records produced by none other than the very respected Dubstep duo, Chase and Status.
So Rihanna was indeed the first major pop start to release dubstep in her music.

I find the influences used in dubstep to be on the same level of that used in "Man House", a lot of wobble/things found in typical dubstep productions. "Freakshow"'s overall production is very influenced by the genre. But IDC what you think or anyone else for that matter. I just want the source to Rihanna confirming a new album.

You and any other fans are crazy to think they haven't already discussed a new contract. Why would she leave? Sure, y'all don't like some of the things they've done - but generally, her career has been handled pretty well with them. Switching labels would not be the best of interest, and that would be seen if it happened.

The general public still cannot decipher dubstep from the rest of today's music, so it's no point in arguing who did it first when neither artist will be credited for bringing it to mainstream.

I'm interested to see what the new album brings because the image seems to be changing by a completely compared to LOUD era which I didn't like at all. She's definitely going back to her Rated R roots.

I agree, though I'm just making the same notes critics made when reviewing Blackout in 2007. I won't entertain any longer though.

Anyway, I think that's what is intriguing me besides getting more tracks. The image is very attractive.

Rihanna makes great music - YES
Rihanna continues to grow, even if it is in our eyes instead of behind closed doors - YES
Rihanna's music outsells the majority of her peers even with releases every year - YES

what is the problem here?
stop doubting her. her sales and acclaim speak for themselves. she knows how to work it.

As a FAN, i don't know why anyone would care about Loud selling an extra million or whatever if this wasn't coming. As a FAN, numbers shouldn't be important, particularly when the numbers are huge already. As a member of a fan community, something like debuting at #1 in the US shouldn't be something you view as being an important part in Rihanna's career with some 25 million albums sold.

Stop letting other fanbases tell you how it has to be. Rihanna is where she is because she does what she does and she's been doing it how she does it since the moment she began doing it...mkay?!

I'll tell you the grass is not greener on the other side in this case...
