I think Bey still has a chance of going #1 the week the physical gets released. Especially with dat DVD. I know I'm waiting for that to buy it and lots of other people have said the same.

Because there was no need to. Katy fans had the highest US debut of the year so the numbers are kind of irrelevant. The Miley fans didn't have any excuses and it's been pretty embraced by monsters and the rest of the internet world alike that Gaga extremely underperformed.

I think Bey played their cards right. They knew that her fans have been really hungry for new music since even before Superbowl. They decided to not release singles, so they could collect all those album sales. And it worked.
She will probably be #1 two weeks in a row or more
Hopefully more. Bieber delayed his Journals by 1 week to the 23rd instead of the 16th (supposedly because he wants to add an extra song ) but I hope she can still stop him from getting to #1.
I can see her being #1 three weeks in a row. And possibly returning back to #1 when she loses the spot.
So many people get iTunes gift cards for Christmas, so I'm sure many people will be buying Bey's album after Christmas/the New Year!
It wouldnt surprise me honestly. This week obviously, next week it goes physical halfway through, and then the next week when its a full week of physical availability. Her teams so awesome, in a business perspective this was ballsy and it worked out flawlessly step by step. Only B.
