Yeah I remember saying once that minorities (gays, blacks, latinos) are probably not as liberal as voting patterns made it seem, the Republicans were just so awful with minorities that they turned to Democrats. If the Republicans moved just a smidge to the left (even if it's just by not saying awful things about minorities, without even helping their advancement), they can ratchet up their support tbh

Whew @ this "uneducated people ruin everything" rhetoric. I wonder why they wouldn't support the candidate whose supporters sport such a condescending opinion.

I feel bad for Obama. His whole presidency could end up a big waste of time with Trump in control of a republican congress. It's sad. All I can think of is that state dinner that Trump attended when Obama just roasted him and now... Obama has to pass the presidency to him.

No sweetie. There was nothing anti-white about Hillary's policies so that's not an argument.

They will start to support Republicans when the party isn't so obviously against their existence. I don't think anybody has a problem with that.

I agree with so much of that Sasha
The sneering of the ''pragmatic, sensible, centrist'' people looking down their noses at Sanders looks pathetic now.

Minorities should have turned out in much bigger numbers.
Also it turns out Nate Silver and CNN were right to portray it as a very tight race.
|
I felt like CNN in particular made it seem pretty easy for her, what with her going in with 268 in her favour and only needing two more

I just don't understand why we can't condemn racism AND criticize the DNC? You started with the "it's not white voters' fault" but like... it is.

Trump won ....So women I hope you guys get paid less, and get treated like ****, you clearly had the choice to elect someone who cared about your rights, but you chose against it. Gay people, get ready to be oppressed and harassed Russia style, bye to your marriage certificates, bye to equality, hello to religious freedom bills. Latinos, hilarious, Florida, which is one of the state with most Latinos gave it to Trump, so whats to say? The Latino biggest enemy is another Latino. Hope your family and friends get all deported, so America can be great again, oh, and BUILD THAT ****ING WALLL!!! Black people, you go along with the gays when it comes to oppression, get ready to take a huge step back, and send everything that was worked so hard for, more racism, more bigotry, making that America, "White" again. The rest congratulations, the worst president ever was just elected ..
I can't believe last year I became a citizen here and was excited to cast my vote, now I can't wait to finish school and go back home!

Yeah I was surprised to see how vitriolic some women were towards her. I didn't obviously expect them all to like her, but there was a lot of bitterness and kind of "why should she be the one" sentiment.

Hillary is seen as moderate. Warren is seen as left of Clinton, almost as left as Sanders.

I agree to an extent, but the DNC needs someone with a completely clean slate.
Definitely from the left wing but I think Warren just has a bit too much baggage and pre-formed opinions of her by the GP.

Hence the
They literally have no one right now. They're going to need to start grooming a young up and comer fast for 2020. They basically have to do what the RNC did after 2012 and rethink their entire strategy, unless Trump is a total failure as president.
