It was awful because of Coldplay. Bruno and Beyonce completely saved it for the time they were there, but then once they finished their songs, it went back to being lackluster. Without Beyonce and Bruno, it would have been completely stale and boring
I see a 4 sized era for Gaga. Good album sales, lots of acclaim, considered her best, but the hits just may not be there. In her case I can't see the lead bombing like Run the World did so that may be the difference.
