You made a lot of good points. I suppose the minor concern I have is the strength of the material that'll be given and recorded by her; she's made a few questionable choices; but she's also had a few good decisions with rewriting (WDKY). At the end of it, if the album ends up being a pop-country record, it's fine as long as the material and production are better than Stronger was.
In any case, I wonder who's working with her again as producer and executive producer of the sixth album. It'll probably make a difference, possibly.

Yeah, also agree with Edge. But I'm looking at the pics from #Kellycamp and they all seem like random college kids instead of real, professional and KNOWN songwriters.  Better than falling back on Kelly's writing block though.
And no more anthems for me too..She's 30+ yrs old now, and she shouldn't be singing or accepting old songs that target teen audiences (Ex. PLU, half of AIEW).

well, Behind These Hazel Eyes actually peaked during the summer, and SUBG was still in the chart slaying.
There was one point literally where both BTHE & SUBG were BOTH in the Top 10 (SUBG was #7, BTHE was still climbing at #8)

Sometimes new blood is better than the same old stale writers.
Same with the no more anthems. I'm tired of them and Kelly won't be able to top her classics.

I don't mind the anthems. It's what she's known for and why not play to her strengths. That being said, she just needs to expand her horizons on the themes/topics that she sings about in her anthems. She could also stand to add a bit more fire to her production. Overall, Stronger was very safe and boring. Solid, but repetitive. CMB production >, even though Jason had a hand in it. Also, her anthems don't need to be released. It could just be included for the fans.
I would also love for her and the writers to come up with a song that samples a popular hit from back in the days. Those songs tend to do well just based on the nostalgia factor alone.

I love her anthems because she almost invented the trend but they don't show her vocal ability or create media buzz like her live televised performances do. Her studio albums never have vocal classics that's on par with what she did with UTTM, Country Tis of Thee, and Natural Woman
She doesn't need to play the pure pop game anymore. She needs to be taken much more seriously.

Do you?  Anthems ≠ big hits. What kind of logic is that? Are A Moment Like This, Because Of You, Already Gone and Hazel Eyes anthems? No.
A anthem is a celebration song or a feel good song. Most of the times a uptempo but there can be mellow ones like We Are Young. Emo songs like Because Of You aren't anthems.
Anthems are songs like We Are Young, Diamonds, Stronger, Born This Way, Last Friday Night and Single Ladies.

Anyway, I don't mind anthems. Surely they don't have to be just about being stronger etc. I bet Kelly's able to write a "happy" anthem about being in love and so on. But I DO HOPE that Kelly will finally give us some amazing, heartbreaking/heartmelting, breathtaking ballads. At least one. Among her leaked songs there are some so amazing ballads. Call Me, Don't Ever Give Up On Me, Empty As I Am, Old Man >>>>
