She always starts the next project when she's still promoting the current one. When "Stronger" came out she was already recording/writing stuff for the next album. Then the label wanted a GH, so it's given her more time to write and find more songs.
I think it's one of those things where she'll hear a song, like it, record it, then she'll hear something better and record it too, and repeat.....
Another possibility ... maybe after her Grammy win, more people started submitting material to her?

Songwriters get together and write songs.
But it's true that we've got masterpieces like DR and CMB (and PLU), a good mv for PLU, TIU, we're getting Xmas album and hopefully we'll get 6h album in early 2014. Maybe nothing of it would have happened if Stronger era had been longer. I'm still sad that LMD will forever remain being only an album track tho. 
And it gave us Maybe, Sober, Can I Have A Kiss (and many other flawfree songs)
