THT is getting enormous promo with blockbuster movie, tho. Is the song inside the movie? I am guessing yes. Millions and millions of people hearing it there; word of mouth, social media... Its pretty logical that it is does well. And yep...its no threat to Hot 100 at least.
no biggie. in 5-6 weeks Taylor will come out with another #1. I keep stressing Singles are released to sell albums. Taylor has broken 1 record and set a new record this era so far. And she has sold the most albums in the US since 2000. Call it local, but it's the largest market in the World. American Artists can't sell Albums in America. So I like to know how they are Global.
Taylor's only 24, soon to be 25.. She'll get bigger.
Taylor is Queen of Promo.. It's cool, If you want to spend ur promo $$ on videos. But who are you reaching, your existing fan base? ur not welcoming new fans. If your songs/performances are too risky to air on National TV bottom-line you can't promote them. That's the gamble you take. So, when stans of other artists start talking shite, Well they didn't promote. Whose fault is that? The artist or record label?
Yesterday for a class, the students were split into 2 teams for a final review and my team chose, without my input, the name Taylor Swift or Die: The Bootylicious Revenge last time we did this we were just named Bootylicious. Everyone loves and speaks of Taylor y'all.

Judging by positive critical response its getting, being high in year-end lists, it could actually pull a Grammy win if all stars align... Imagine the boost then.
