This is just off the top of my head. If Red was considered a pop album, that would be better too. 1989 is good but like, on a Queen of the Clouds level. It has some standout songs but about half is just filler or boring.
Those September 2012 slayage feels. I forgot how good this song is. The bridge >>>> holy ****. And she sounds sooo good in the first chorus. It really did seem like the best first single choice.

The indie minimal anthemtic build up over the intensifying drums is hella edgy and cool.
For real it sounds amazing. It totally slayed me back in the day. Die Young should have sounded like the first chorus and "bridge" and not have had all those generic synths. C'Mon sounded great too, when they uploaded it during the iconic scavenger hunt. When Warrior leaked I decided to wait until it was released to listen, but I gave in and listened to one track Past Lives, thinking I'd enjoy the least of all tracks anyway. Turns out it's the greatest song of our time.
The Scavenger Hunt was a mess but it was such a good idea tbh. I screamed when C'Mon was unlocked. I remember when the track list was revealed, everyone dragged her for having a song called "C'Mon", but it ended up being one of the biggest bops on the album.
Ugh the era was perfect and done so wrong. In an alternate universe, all of the singles would have been #1 megahits.
