I love it when Hilary does sassy tweets like that, I remember before she got pregnant there were tons of pregnancy rumors out and she dragged Star magazine or something to that effect, it was hilarious.

BILLBOARD HOT DIGITAL SONGS - TOP 50 - 05/12/07

She was on the Hot 100 for about three more weeks, but this was when only the top 50 of the Digital Songs list would leak. I would think it's probably around 500k by now.

For comparison purposes these two were the largest selling songs at the time in the top 50:

10 STEFANI*GWEN SWEET ESCAPE 64900 -21 82088 1507491
39 FURTADO*NELLY SAY IT RIGHT 24071 -9 26463 1531237

Only 9 songs were over 1 mil. In this day and age, Hilary's digital sales for With Love may seem like a COMPLETE flop, but as of last week's digital chart there were 24 songs with over 1 million in sales in the Top 50 Digital Songs for the week. More than a handful with over 2 million. So the numbers simply can not be compared.

Thank you for posting! Definitely her best interview during this press round for True. It was very endearing to hear her gush about Luca like that, and so animatedly. You can clearly hear how much she LOVES him. Interesting to hear that she's working behind the scenes with Johnson's Baby Care so closely.

I am SO glad we got this clarification from Hilary about the status of her music. So while Hilary was having fun with Jason Evigan, Mitch Allan, and Matt Squire in the studio, she doesn't see them as quite fitting with the music she wants to ultimately release.

I just wish she was being a bit more proactive and really actively seeking a new team. I feel like she clearly wants this album to be her most cohesive, with just a few producers and writers, and such. She also seems to want it to be unique so she's not just using hitmakers to make a "hit" album.

I agree, but I respect her on her choice on why she wants to take it slow. Also we just got our answer on why she stopped recording, she just wasn't feeling the sound. I wish she could release those few songs she did record lol. I'm curious of what they are like.

I'm guessing she won't be back in the studio until she finds the right writers. Also have to add she said its definitely in the future.

Like Josh said, I wish she would release the songs she recorded just for fun, I really also wish she would use her Tumblr account, I don't follow her on there because she (also the admin) doesn't really post anything new. But, I am glad she gave clear cut answers on why she hasn't been recording lately, this is good news and it sounds like she is really ready to make music but with the right people, I cannot be mad at that at all.

Yes, I LOVED hearing that.

I also agree that it hurts a little hearing that the songs she recorded before are likely scrapped. No wonder Mitch Allan sounded so pessimistic in that one tweet a while back. But if they are anything like Heart Attack I can understand why Hilary is trashing them.

And like Avery said, we cannot be mad at her for her current predicament. It makes me happy to hear that she's taking her return to music so seriously. I too selfishly wish she'd post those songs on YouTube or release them as an EP on iTunes though. Hopefully May is an active month for her.

These last two weeks with radio interviews, the True book release, and the Billboard Update have been absolute bliss.
