Her getting stuck in the elevator helped Ashton's character realise the importance of celebrating your achievements, your dreams and goals. She helped him come out of his dark corner and they connected.
She managed to make it to her gig and not to sing as a back up for to finally take centre stage
It's a very cute storyline although she should have been giving more screen time.
