So she lied. She plotted to get her revenge on someone who truly hurt her. Is this a surprise to anybody?? She's kind of been doing this her whole career  . In no way do I think Taylor is a bad person for this. Kanye has been talking trash about Taylor since 2009, and if it was me, I'd plot against him as well. Honestly, it was a genius plan, on Taylor's part, it's just unfortunate that the conversation was taped  .

I think we are overlooking something very important:
Obviously from how she recorded the video from her phone via Snapchat, Kim decided to only post some segments and not the entire phone call, so there are gaps missing, which isn’t exactly fair.
Why record only certain segments and put it on Snapchat, of all places, rather than release the whole thing to E! of another site? Or why put it on snapchat and not instagram? Kim has both. And instagram has a longer video time limit.
That just looks sketchy.
Why is the “proof” video chopped up into pieces?
Why hasn’t the full video been posted, usually when people do that they’re hiding something?

Exactly. And what's funny is, this situation for Taylor isn't even close to being as bad as the ones you named. This is a little blip compared to those things. Her health is fine and her music is fine.
This is like (to a MUCH lesser extent), Gaga in 2013. Such a big star on top of the world and haters are so perched to bring them down as soon as they have a chance to. It's fun for them to watch someone fall from so high up for some reason. It's the fact that Taylor has had such a clean image, and they're finally seeing her exposed for something.
Let them have their fun, the GP is going to move on from this so quickly. They think it's much bigger than it is, one of them said it's Milli Vanilli level

She's going to be just fine, she's still the biggest pop star in the world and she still has her immense talent. She just needs to take a long break, and come back at the end of 2017 and follow her normal release schedule. Single in August 2017, album in October 2017.

There's a "search" button in her message screencap. This button only shows up if she opens the note from the search result in the app. It only makes sense to search for something if it's not readily available in the first few items, which means she didn't write this recently. I think she probably knew about this video before and prepared this note to retaliate a while ago.

I think because this is associated with Kim and Kanye , will actually help her in the long run. The GP knows that they are attention seeking, and are always trying to get in the headlines. Perhaps their reputations will overshadow the fact that Taylor lied

I doubt that the GP will listen to the recording, so the only source for them will be what the media writes. A lot of people won't believe it due to the fact that the Kardashians are seen as incredibly unreliable (at least in my country) and just forget about it after a few days. Also they will be more annoyed by it than anything else, as in "ughh.. another one of those celebrities who thinks she's important" instead of "YESSS she exposed her!!".
