And I saw the first two episodes of Top of the Lake but then I never got back to it and I have no idea why. It was really good so far. I'm glad Elisabeth won a Globe.  |
Mikkelsen was great in it, it's probably my favorite of the contenders so far besides its melodrama.
TBCB is not bad per se, it's just terribly heavy-handed at times. Like, grossly. And yeah, I think it might win, it's the kind of stuff the Academy usually eats up. The Hunt and The Great Beauty still have a good chance, though.
And keep on watching it! It'll only get better.
