She was very animated in both films and was basically playing herself. At least her role in TOW was cute, but Draya had me cringing throughout the movie. Sis can't act and that's okay.

I found Barbershop to be quite sexist tbh and I wish Nicki wasn't in it.

Nicki can definitely act. It's just that some of her parts are reminiscent of herself + her voice is very distinct so both roles automatically remind you of her. It's not like she's had a very serious role (a la Bey in Obsessed) in which you can clearly tell she's not good b

But she's been praised on both of her roles, especially with TOW, which was critically panned except for her + that other white man's parts.

Out of all the scenes in Barbershop, I love the "Hey Rashad" scene the best. The scene of her running from Eve and the crying scene was a bit cringe tbh. Her voice in some scenes give me Harajuku Barnie/Lewinsky and the characters went from Lydia/Draya to Nicki in 2.5 seconds. But it may have just been her take on the character. We haven't seen her in other roles to say she's not a good actress.
