CHRONO DUELS: HISTORY OF DUELING
Vol. 1
February 4th, 1999 was the day that the epic, iconic and legendary Duel Monsters game saw the light of day, as in that day, the very first booster pack was released. The set contained 40 different cards. So duelists at the time had to build their decks using up to 3 copies of each card, making any combination they wanted.
The set introduced us to the 3 different kind of cards: Monsters, Spells and Traps.
Monster Cards: Vol.1 introduced to the game Normal Monsters. Yellow-colored cards.
Spell Cards: The set introduced us to Normal Spells and Equip Spells.
Trap Cards: Vol.1 debuted Normal Traps.
- Of all 6 existing Attributes (7 if we're being picky with Divine) 5 debuted in here: Dark, Light, Earth, Wind and Water.
- Of all 22 existing types (24 if we're being picky with Divine Beast and Creator God) 15 debuted in here: Aqua, Beast, Beast-Warrior, Dinosaur, Dragon, Fairy, Fiend, Insect, Plant, Rock, Spellcaster, Thunder, Warrior, Winged Beast and Zombie.
- Also, LV 2, 3, 4 and 7 Monsters debuted in here.
- The Normal Summon summoning method was established in here.
- The Tribute Summon (Advance Summon) summoning method debuted in here.
- Increasing ATK and DEF was first seen in here as well.
- Damaging LP via Effect Damage was introduced in here.
- Recovering LP was also presented in here.
- Destroying Monsters with effects appeared in here.

Where-as the sub is cussing often and everyone is less annoying and way more mature. I haven't learned any names yet, but the blue haired Frightfur user is my favorite.

Glad to hear you're watching the subs, cuz you're gonna be SLAYED!! The dub cuts too much content and as you mentioned, makes the show totally childish, which it isn't.

Vol. 1's Review: Weakest Monsters in the set
Archfiend Marmot of Nefariousness
デーモン・ビーバー (Demon Beaver)
LV 2 / EARTH / Beast / Normal Monster
This monster was the weakest in the set, if we're only considering its ATK. However, with the Equip Spell "Beast Fangs" it could become way stronger than most other monsters, since only a 15 monsters in the set could get benefited from an Equip Spell. Using 3 "Beast Fangs" could lead up its ATK up to 1300, thus destroying any LV 4 and below monsters in the set. Also, using it in Defense was a good surprise if your opponent attacked you with any of the 600 and less ATKers, since It could resist attacks from 600 ATKers, so it was a good defense against 11 monsters in the set.
Pros: Equip Spell support.
Cons: The lowest Original ATK in the game thus far.
TRIVIA: This card belongs to the Archfiend archetype.
 
Tomozaurus
トモザウルス
LV 2 / EARTH / Dinosaur / Normal Monster
Well, this could be actually considered the WEAKEST monster in the set, even though Beaver has less ATK. Why do you ask? Cuz this 500 ATKer has no Equip Spell to support it thus far. Meaning that he's stuck with that 500 ATK. And even though there's another 500 ATKer in this set (which we'll see below), this monster has 400 DEF, making it really weak. The sad thing is that it has an amazing design, well, at least the Japanese one, cuz the international was edited to remove the blood.
Pros: Cool design
Cons: No support + Weak DEF
TRIVIA: The fact that a Tomozaurus is killing another one is to reflect how its ATK is higher than its DEF.
Haniwa
はにわ
LV 2 / EARTH / Rock / Normal Monster
Another of the weak monsters in the set. The poor sis is stuck with its 500 ATK/DEF since it doesn't get Equip Spell support. At least it can destroy a defense position Tomozaurus. Haniwa is cute but thus far is one of the weakest cards in the game.
Pros: Is stronger than Tomozaurus
Cons: It doesn't have support + Really weak

I remember playing with those cards in my Playstation game 
I watched the first episode of 5Ds and so far I don't like it  it looks much better visually than GX but the whole synchro fusion and Turbo Duels is a bit confusing/overwhelming
Plus I watched it in english and I remember Porygon saying the english dub for this series is trash
