Contestant Adley asks Kelly for advice with her lower register. Kelly mentions how when she first heard Miss Independent she thought it was too low. She "bubbles" her songs, which is kinda like humming the song but sticking your lips out (I don't know how to describe it, haha. It's what singers do to warm up).

Kelly mentions how she started singing classical because she was poor and needed a scholarship for college. She said when she started singing pop she was hard on herself if she missed a note, because in classical you have to be technically perfect.... you don't have to be perfect, people want something believable.
