Bad Romance was covered last night on X Factor Australia.
I honestly hate this trend on Australian TV of taking big dance songs and turning them into "authentic indie songs". They did it all throughout the last season of The Voice (see: that one girl's cover of Marry The Night), many times on X Factor, and it's even bled into mainstream radio with that shameful indie cover of the iconic Show Me Love.
There are so many ways to reinvent a song but lately all anyone does is strip the song down to its bones and try to pass that off as authentic.
