I knew since day one that Lady Gaga was indeed an act. I have never in my life believed her that she and Stefani are one and the same. Gaga is a metaphor for reinventing yourself, however how could you not separate her from Stefani? We've also known for a while that people she meets in person call her Stefani, that's why I didn't understand why in that Yale discussion the confused students immediately called her "Lady Gaga" without asking her first. It was strange to me as a person who is aware that Gaga isn't a name she goes by in person.
