Not to shade the other seasons, but I dont find that argument to have any substance. Was it slow at times? Did the writers not do as much with it as they could have? Yes, but there was definitely a plot, and they definitely stuck with it.

it seems like the plot is that "there isnt actualy plot so here watch a bunch of freaks for 13 episodes" and NO the other seasons had clear plots from the beginning:
MH - a family moving to a haunted house without knowing and dealing with the challenges that the house will take them to;
Asylum - clearly the plot was Lana Winters getting inside the corrupted mad house so she could expose it to the world and close;
Coven - finding a new supreme to lead the coven and continue to gather girls to teach them how to control their powers
............ FS - Elsa Mars trying to make it big OR Bett/Dott going into surgery to have a chance of normal life OR Jimmy Darling trying to go past throug his mama issues and do sth with his life OR Dandy Mott getting a spotlight in the freakshow like they focused on too much characters and the show didn't have any room to breath that's why so many people turned down after the first 4 episodes no one knew where the show was going for and if it wasn't for Finn ha emmy-worthy acting I wouldn't have been so interested in the season as I was.
My only concern about Hotel is that it will AGAIN focus onto too many characters as the cast keeps getting bigger and bigeer by the minute, so I hope there are 2 main main characters like (Lana, Kit) and 2 main antagonists like (sis Jude , sis M.Eunice) and one villan (like bloody face, Twsity)
Like Gaga's character could be the Jessica character of this season where Elizabeth is antagonist but also is main character (like sis Jude) and Angela could be her contagonist .... and for Sally (Sarah's character) could be the villian of the season because it will be refreshing for once a girl to be the bad bad evil because Rubber Boy, Bloody Face, Axe Man, Twsity were all male characters
