The Born Free video is an amazing example of the brutality and arbitrariness of genocide that still goes on in our world today. Gingers being rounded up and executed is no more ridiculous than any other reason that people have been rounded up and executed, and are still rounded up and executed. Genocide still occurs all over the world, and it is even more horrific than M.I.A.s video. She was using her moment of fame with Paper Planes to expose the world to the horrors that she experienced first hand as a young girl in Sri Lanka, in a way that western audiences could relate to, since everyone knows a few gingers.
The fact that you can't grasp the most blunt, simple statement she's made in her career is a little worrying! Stick to Britney!
I bet most people don't really get the "Bad Girls" video is about women's right to drive in the Middle East.
