Glitter was the first era that I experienced as a fan/stan - can you imagine how that felt? I had just seen the light of how great Mariah is and boom, she is crushed!

I hate that Glitter is my favorite era, it makes me cringe having to constantly be around Mariah at her LOWEST.

If you look at Butterfly, #1's, Rainbow, and Glitter tho, I think her career was destined to have a downfall from releasing so much constantly. And you can look at how the singles from 1997-2000 performed. A lot of them had discounts, before the iconic Loverboy discount.
Just a lot of things that happen in the Glitter era itsself that made it flop EVEN MORE. I mean the breakdown, 9/11, movie bombed, and the album itsself being horrible to GP.

People do too much on both the movie and the sountrack.
It has some of the best work of her entire career on that sountrack.
