Paige Elliot Performs at the CaL3 Awards
Paige Elliot appeared at the CaL Awards to perform, being the closing performance of the show, as she has been for most shows, keeping the viewers in place to see the entire show before they can see her performance. It was announced beforehand that she would be performing a new song, "Dance of Death (Danse Macabre)", which was over 6 minutes long.
She began her performance in a large set that appeared to have resemblance to a grave yard, with tombstones, twisted trees and strange statues with demonic figures on them scattered around the stage. She appeared in a rather short, black dress that spread out after a tight corset, with white flowers scattered around on it. A translucent train spread behind her, and she matched the dress with translucent black heels, also with white flowers on it. She appeared in an upright coffin, a bouquet of dead roses in her hand. Her hair was slightly messy, yet styled to look like a perfect dead body. Her skin was extremely pale, and she looked as beautiful as ever. It wasn't until after the performance that viewers noticed that the lower half of her face was lightly painted with makeup to resemble a skull, being barely visible.
Suddenly, there was the striking of a clock, ringing heavily 12 times, implying midnight. On the twelfth strike, Paige opened her eyes widely, revealing a shocking white set of eyes with no sign of color other than her black pupils. A familiar chord progression of low synths along with the plucks of cellos revealed the backing track to be inspired or sampling the classical piece, "Danse Macabre". As the synths and cellos slowly progressed what could only be a total of eight notes on loop, Paige began to rise out of her coffin slowly, still holding the dead roses in one hand. As this occurred, she began to sing lowly, only four lines, but in a deep, haunting manner ("Death spreads open its wings / Keeping the living in a trance / Frozen and watching the macabre take hold / And so the dead rise up to begin their dance"). She used her hand to crack her neck gently, and she stood up when suddenly, a violin began to tune extremely loud, shocking some members of the audience with its abruptness. As the violin tuned for a bit, increasing in speed with each progression of the tuning, Paige began to twitch her head slightly. After the tuning, a heavy, electro bass suddenly came in and the song took hold.
The bass kept a simple rhythm as Paige began to dance majestically and hauntingly as she also sang calmly over the bass, a lack of drums or any other synths. Her dress flowed behind her with every move she made as the bass began to waver up and down from its simple note. After four lines, a low, muffled drum was added, along with sharp synths that began to take the regular melody of "Danse Macabre". Paige sang about chaotic events, including death in the streets and the dead rising up to dance. An obvious pre-chorus began, and all instrumental dropped out for four lines except for the drums. Paige stood still, staring at the audience with wide eyes and a shockingly calm face as she began to pluck the petals off of one of the dead roses as she sang the four lines.
Suddenly, after the last line, the drums came in heavily, with no sign of a clap, only the kick, along with a roaring, complextro beat, similar to "Ready for the Weekend", yet obviously different for "Danse Macabre" as Paige began to sing about the dead rising. ("In the midnight hour, the dead perform a dance"). She began to waver and dance beautifully and quickly to the complextro beat, giving a haunting, ghostly effect with her dress. She kept singing as the beat shook, died, snapped back in, and kept repeating ("Danse macabre, la danse macabre"). The beat kept blasting for a while for the chorus until it suddenly died out.
The lighting changed drastically, being almost completely black, only showing Paige's silhouette as the beat changed from complextro to a full, live orchestra below the stage performing the original "Danse Macabre". The orchestra continued for a while, but then it suddenly became warped and the beat became more electro before suddenly crashing once, then returning to the simple bass rhythm as Paige sang the second verse.
She continued to dance, now joined by several holographic skeletons that danced around and near her, performing a horrifying dance of death as if really coming back from the dead. The second verse continued the same manner as the first.
For another similar routine, there were a total of four verses with their choruses after them, following the same routine as the previous verse and chorus, until the song changed into a middle 8 after the fourth chorus. There was suddenly a change in key, with a synth playing out a sound similar to a rooster crowing and Paige and the holographic skeletons looked out in fear. A heavy synth & bass came in, rumbling quickly as all but two skeletons ran away behind tombstones and disappeared. Another change occured, and Paige appeared to break down crying as a sole violin began to play what appeared to be a sad song, following the actual "Danse Macabre" pattern, being the section 'Death plays a sad song as the dance is over'. Paige continued to act-cry, getting down on her knees as the holographic skeletons surrounded her and comforted her. She suddenly began to sing over the violin's repeating, sad melody, looking up into the pale blue spotlight and her heavy eyeliner messed up by actual tears. Her voice was quiet and delicate, as if she was actually saddened by the end of la Danse Macabre ("The dance has gone past its time / And back into their graves they'll climb"). For the last two lines of the middle 8, Paige's voice grew deeper and more sinister, and the last two skeletons hurried off to the edges of the stage.
The complextro beat began once more, and Paige began to vocalize over it with simple "hmms" in a stuttered manner. The chorus came back, with the same mix of complextro synths and orchestral strings, mixed with the original lyrics and ad-libs by Paige before the song suddenly died along with the lightning into blackness.

Ke$ha on SNL
Ke$ha got up on stage wearing a short black dress. The dancers came out and played the bongos with large drum sticks.
She began singing her newest single Cold Hands. She walked around the red stage singing the first verse.
The dancers went to the middle of the stage during the chorus and danced with Ke$ha.
They danced in the background while Ke$ha sang the second verse.
The song was shortened so the 3rd chorus was cut out. The instrumental come on and new dancers come on the stage.
They were dressed as ghosts. They lifted her off the ground and above the crowd.
Ke$ha continued singing in the air, they put her down at the end of the song.
Gladiator is released WW
(300)Ke$ha on Z100
I: Interviewer ~~ K: Ke$ha
*Ke$ha comes in, everyone greets her*
*They start talking to the microphone*
I: Hi Ke$ha, I'm happy you could be here.
K: Yeah me too.
I: So your new album Gladiator was just released today and the fans are loving it.
K: I know! I read their opinions online. I'm so happy that they're all pleased since I worked really hard to make this album perfect.
I: The reviews are also great, it has 77 on Metacritics with 11 reviews so far.
K: That's amazing! The album also had a few push-backs because I wasn't quite finished with it.
I: We asked the fans online what their favorite song off Gladiator is, the answers are still coming in so I'll tell you at the end.
I: What made you chose Supernatural as the 2nd single?
K: My label and I agreed that the 2nd single should be a dance song and this was probably my favorite dance song from the album.
I: You've also performed it 4 times already.
K: Yeah, at The Today Show, SNL, Jay Leno and the Debut Awards. My label spent a lot of money trying to get me a spot at SNL and the Award show
I: I thought that you Debut Awards performance was amazing, you and Demi Lovato really stole the spotlight from everyone else.
K: Awwww thanks. I had the whole thing planned out a week before the performance. I wanted everyone to leave and be able to say that they had a good time.
I: I was just so creative with all the different dancers and the disco ball. You're also going to go on another award show tonight, will the performance be half as good as the one last night.
K: I can try but I won't make any promises.
I: Buy Ke$ha's brand new album on iTunes now!
All the songs from Gladiator are uploaded to Ke$haVEVO

(300)Ke$ha on BBC Radio 1 (over the phone)
I: Interviewer ~~ K: Ke$ha
I: Hi Ke$ha
K: Hiiii
I: Let's talk about your new album. I'm really happy that the release date is the same everywhere and the UK doesn't have to wait an extra week or so.
K: Yeah I wanted to release the album everywhere on the same day instead of making some fans wait longer.
I: I love the album cover, it's so fierce.
K: It took me about 50 shots to actually get the perfect album cover.
I: Do you get along with everyone in your label? Because there were some problems with your other labels in the past.
K: No, everything if fine here, I love all the other artists here and the management don't make any decisions without my approval. Gladiator is also exactly how I wanted it to be.
I: You also have many features on this album.
K: Yeah my manager ------- ---- called Fingerprint Records and get Katy and Nicki to collaborate with me. I called Cara myself and asked her if she wanted to feature on my lead single and she did! I'm good friends with Wayne and he really wanted to work with me. Ellie and The Saturdays are on my label so it was really fun recording with them. They help with the making of the album a bit.
I: Did they write any of the songs for you?
K: Ellie helped me make Ladt Goodbye and Don't Cry, which was originally meant to feature her but the song is already almost 5 minutes long so her part had to be cut out . The Saturdays helped make Woo Hoo and Come Alive.
I: What's your favorite song off the album?
K: My 6 favorite songs would be Last Goodbye, Supernatural, Gladiator, True Love, Cold Hands and Woo Hoo.
I: Buy Gladiator in store now!
Ellie Goulding on The X Factor UK (Saturday)
Ellie Goulding arrived in the UK after her performance at the Debut Awards on Saturday the 26th of October. She performed her newest single, Under Control, which has been charting for 3 weeks now!
She entered the stage wearing black shorts, a blue t-shirt, a gold necklace and red bracelets. Her hair was also dyed brown!!!
She actually looked great with brown hair, that last time she had that hair color was in 2008.
Ellie began singing Under Control. The performance was simple but effective. The audience clapped at the end.

SELENA GOMEZ NBA HALFTIME SHOW
Selena Gomez released a brand new single this week titled ‘ألماسه’ or in English, His Diamond. The song is quite refreshing to both to Gomez’s audience and the radio waves as it’s already received over six million audience impressions just on the first day of release. Selena made the first televised performance of the song at the Create A Label Debut Awards where her performance was met with lots of acclaim but with some controversy over Selena using a burqa and thawbs. So far Selena or her PR have said anything about. Right after the Create a Label awards, Selena already had another promo slot for ‘His Diamonds’ booked. The NBA Half Time Show.
They introduced Selena to the stage as a stage was pushed out onto the court. Fans were allowed on the court as they readied for Selena to start her five song set. A staircase was in the middle of the stage with a jumbotron at the top behind the platform. The stage was dark besides the twelve piece orchestra that was ready to play as they waited for their signal to start playing. The crowd buzzed as they waited for the pop princess to take the stage. The orchestra began playing, the violins radiating the intro to ‘Stars Dance’, the title track off of Selena Gomez’s fourth studio album. The intro was extended a bit as the jumbotrons turned to a space scene, visuals of stars and planets as a light shined at the top of the staircase. Selena stood there looking out in the distance as she stood in front of what appeared to be a moon. Wind machines blew at her to make her hair go back, giving her that signature Beyonce effect. In a purple stage outfit, with her mic in her hand, she began singing. “Wake up to your dreams and watch them come true.” Selena sang, her voice husky and sultry. Male dancers came from either side of the stage to line up along the sides. She stopped on every step to touch on them in some way, stopping on one line to grind on one of them as she served a breathy “Night and day, I’ll be your muse.” She got to the main stage and did some hair flipping and more interactive choreography with her dancers as she got to the bridge, cutting out the second verse. On the bridge was where she served vocals and was really into it. “Everything I do will open up heaven.” She belted out on pitch, showing vocal growth over her musical absence. She finished the song with some flashing strobe lights from above as she and her dancers danced in front of the space setting behind them. The outro of Stars Dance played as the stage dimmed to a blackish purple. A foreign urban beat with some reggae influences sounded over the speakers. The stage lit up a bright yellow as the bass on the beat was strong and powerful. Selena came out in a different stage outfit, a white blouse and some shorts. “Sing with me.” She shouted to the crowd. She then got the crowd amped up by getting them interactive with her. “Eh eh eh eh. It’s your turn now.” The crowd repeated the lines to her as ‘Like A Champion’ began. With the Buju Banton sample making the song recognizable, the crowd cheered. Selena was accompanied by two male dancers and two female dancers as she began doing some choreography to the song. The dancers grinded behind her as Selena moved her hips and ass to the beat. The chorus hit and Selena began whining and dropping it low. A male dancer got up behind her and they danced with each other until the bridge with the thunderous bass hit. Selena threw her arms up and began doing some Rihanna ‘What’s My Name’ like choreography. She sang the bridge with conviction as flames shot up from the stage. Moving out to the catwalk of the stage hit some ad libs during the final chorus before the song merged into a dubstep break down. The beat was reminiscent of Krewella as Selena and her dancers danced in the flashing neon lights. “Get ready Staples Center.” The intro of Love You Like A Love Song blasted over the speakers, except it was like it was on steroids with some dubstep influences. She sang to the audience and surprisingly they sang the song back to her. The chorus had the whole audience moving with her as she shook her hips to the ‘peat peat peats’. She got to the bridge and the whole stage lit up a cotton candy pink. Her dancers surrounded her as she sang the bridge and for the first time hit the high note. The song then then took a turn into another breakdown. Selena left the stage as it went black. The breakdown ended and dark clouds and lightning flashing were shown over the jumbotrons. A Indian instrumental with drums started playing before the infection intro of ‘Come & Get It’ started playing. The crowd went wild as Selena and her female dancers took to the stage to sing the song. Dressed in the same outfit except with an extension of fabric connected to her shorts, she did a brand new choreographed number for it. The bridge was done in place of the second verse before fire blasted when she belted ‘YEAAH’. The beat of ‘His Diamond’ took over as the dancers disappeared from the stage and shirtless male dancers took their place. They jerked the fabric from Selena’s shorts, and removed her blouse to show a hot lingerie piece. Selena stood there completely comfortable as she then started singing the song. She twirled her hair with her fingers, looking hot as her dancers touched over her body. She’d let them for a few moments before she’d push them away and move on to the next. They all then would do a dance break to the Arab beat as females dressed in burqas came on to the stage. With no second verse they skipped right to the bridge and the stage went dark as the Arab guitar mesmerized the audience. When the stage lit up all the girls stood in burqas, Selena in a white one with Swarovski crystals embroidered on it. They did a Middle eastern dance routine as thunder silenced them in stillness before the chorus hit again and they did another routine. The performance ended with Selena standing tall and the dancers in the black burqas looking out from around her as she stood there.
