Britney may be close to over, but at least her shelf life lasted longer than the Zune The same cannot be said for Gaga. 1.2 million to 240k within 2 years, and with performances on MTV, X Factor, Youtube, Time Square billboards I actually envy that your artist cares to promote If Britney even did 1/2 of that, we wouldn't be having this convo. But alas, she has moved on to better things like her children and her multiple tech startups because she's already got a plaque at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame with her name guaranteed on it.
Whenever Britney promotes her sales actually decrease
And those performances are either not in the US or are from months ago, she hasn't done any televised promo in the US for almost 3 months
The best part about Gags flopping is that we all know she perches over the charts and is well aware of her current perception and place in the commercial pop world. She is (painfully) aware of every bad album review, every flop song, and every chart listing.
Brinty probably still thinks she is selling 1M+ first week.
She corrected someone mid-interview when they got her album sales wrong.
OK enough about Methney...even he agrees she should die in a helicopter crash.
Back to the has-been of the moment. I saw an interview posted here earlier where MySpace kept saying ART but in a bizarre accent, with long pauses and silences. The critically panned flop really thinks she's a work of art. You see that and then you listen to her album (the worst pop release of 2013) and you expect next-level music only to get trashy electronic songs with lyrics like "Donatella you ate a salad today don't throw up ask you gay best friend." Embarrassed for anyone who still wastes so much as a dollar on her.
Dave Morin isn't easily star-struck. The early Facebook employee is a close confidant of Mark Zuckerberg, and when Morin left the social networking giant two years ago, it was to launch a startup with Napster founder Shaun Fanning.
Still, Morin couldn't quite hide his surprise a few months back when Britney Spears walked into his San Francisco office.
Read it The CEO of Path, which bills itself as a more intimate social network than Facebook or Twitter, said the pop princess is among the most active of a growing number of "celebrity angels" -- stars from the music or movie industries who are aligning themselves with tech startups as advisers, evangelists and, sometimes, investors.[/quote]
let's be real. the Monsters probably placed all the Artpop albums in front of real album artists like Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus
I actually feel bad for her. She obvi checks all of this. Maybe this will save her from the cloud she was on.
Maybe this will bring back the fame gaga.
