I remember when Raymond V Raymond was originally going to be called Monstar. Why do people think he's still singing about clubbing? He hasn't done it in years. L4M was mostly about heartbreak, lost love, and pushing yourself to be better.

No, he still appeals to a young audience and looking at his antics you would really believe he's still a club head and a sex addict.

I think his act is going to venture into R. Kelly-ville. He can still talk all freaky and you're kinda here for it still because it sounds good minus his alleged history with young girls.

Usher will be 40 something and as long as he can keep his choreography up and stay relevant with shows and on-trend music he's going to be around until no one will sign him anymore and he has to resort to Dancing with the Stars.

I am Starting to think you don't know Usher's value. Would you consider Beyonce and jayz opening for Usher?.

Those are his peers. He came out before Beyonce and has had more memorable success than them in the 2000's. The only difference is that Beyonce and jayz have had consistency

Some Usher stans are truly terrible like the things they say about his personal life and direction in music is disgusting. People shouldn't call themselves stans of his if they want "old" usher

I think that's a bit unfair. You can still be a fan of his old material and not dig his new stuff. To be fair, he did stretch his involvement to different genre's so people who love his old stuff find themselves to be scraping for goods, unlike us who have an open mind.

I know people who love "Old Usher" but whenever a "Climax" or "Hey Daddy" comes out, they are all into it again. I guess they wouldn't be called pure stans but it doesn't mean they cannot voice their opinion.

But I totally agree, some people take it way too far, especially on YouTube or those blog sites with no moderation. However I think the majority of it is fueled by haters and stans of other artists trying to downplay him.

The term old Usher is so overused though some people to have stopped listening to him after Confessions but in reality nothing has changed except his attitude. I have seen some of his fans criticizing him for making meaningless songs but I don't think they listened to L4M.

I think a lot of people prefer "old" Usher mostly because of nostalgia and maybe bigger success he had (but it's the same with all artists usually).

Yeah pretty much. A lot of people like Usher, he has near 50 million likes on Facebook. It's just every artist has a peak, and eventually they will fall. I'm not saying Usher is over, but in regards to people saying they prefer "Old Usher". He will always be relevant, have hit radio songs and be on TV shows, but it won't stop people from saying "OG Usher was the ****".

Compared to his contemporaries and the new kids on the block, he held up extremely well. If only L4M was better managed, glory hunters, (you know who they are), wouldn't be questioning his success. I haven't met anyone who doesn't like Usher in some shape or form.
