If you really want to get a real foreigner's experience, I would recommend that you go to some place where English is not spoken. There is nothing like being in a country where you don't understand the language, the food, the customs, the norms, etc. It's isolating ans scary. Thankfully for me, I migrated at a young age (9, turning 10) so I was able to adapt and learn quickly as opposed to someone like mom who is still learning to this day.
