CCA signs Mariah Carey

Creative Artists Agency (CAA), the world's leading talent and literary agency, has signed multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning artist Mariah Carey for representation. Carey's extraordinary career success stands as a testament to her exceptional talent. With 18 #1 singles, 30 top ten singles and five Grammy Awards, she is the only artist to top the charts every year of the 1990's, pushing ahead of The Beatles and Elvis Presley as the artist with the most cumulative weeks spent atop the singles chart with "Touch My Body" back in 2008. Her signature seven-octave range and her remarkable aptitude as a composer have driven her worldwide album and singles sales to well over 200 million records.
Carey has garnered several accolades throughout her career, some of which include five Grammy Awards, ten American Music Awards, Billboard's "Artist of the Decade" award and the World Music Award for "World's Best Selling Female Artist of the Millennium." and also the "Pop Icon Award". Also Mariah Carey's latest critically acclaimed dark album, "The Stygian Chevalier" has since certified Gold and has already sold 619,000 copies sold and her singles, "Libidinous Dream" and title track "The Stygian Chevalier" has also broken multiple radio chart records since due to the success of the album.
Rumours from insiders said that she is currently working on a new EP, a highly anticipated release under Camouflage Records for later this year. A-list hit-makers and producers, including Kanye West, James Poyser, Swizz Beats, Scott Storch and R. Kelly, are rumoured to be contributing to this effort. On the heels of receiving critical acclaim for her performance in "Push" and "The Butler", Carey is looking forward to pursuing additional acting opportunities. She is also working on an illustrated children's book that tells a meaningful story about a biracial orphan girl.

iHEARTRADIO ULTIMATE POOL PARTY
This Thursday, Danity Kane dropped by the venue of the iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party to perform quite the set, and they had a little surprise for the audience as well. Also broadcasted on MTV, a total of seven million viewers tuned in to watch the event, which Danity Kane took part in that night. At the venue they performed a nine-song setlist, but only three were broadcasted on television the next day. The three broadcasted were "Lemonade", "Damaged" and "Show Stopper". However Danity Kane performed lots of old material as well as the two new songs that would come with their EP, which is set to be released on Sunday. Opening with "Show Stopper", the girls had Cadillacs on the stage and were looking fierce in their all-black streeter attire. The entire audience of about twelve thousand people were yelling out the lyrics, as Dawn shouted to hype up the crowd and they served choreography. Transitioning into "Bad Girl", male backup dancers dressed in suits were brought onto the stage to entice the crowd and put an end to the girls' reign. However they failed, because in the end the girls just ended up pushing them into the gigantic pool near the front of the stage, as the dancers went shirtless into the crowds and got everyone screaming. Next up was "Strip Tease", were they brought a few guys from the VIP section and set up chairs on the stage - and yeah, obviously we all know what went down from there, even getting the crowd more excited by the show. Next up, the girls performed "Pretty Boy" with lots of female dancers and more intensive and serious choreography, but the beat still got everybody jumping and pumping it up. Afterwards, Aubrey took the microphone and started preaching to the crowd: "LA, are y'all having a good time! Well, we just put out a video which has gotten a lot of hate lately. I mean - the song's about hating ass bitches. The video's got people pressed as ****. I mean, all we wanna do, is drink some lemonade! Like how hard is that?" "Right," Shannon chimed in. "Tragic," Dawn commented. Aubrey then went on to say, "Coming back as DK3 now, we're gonna bend the rules a little. And we don't care, what anyone's gotta say about it." "Nope, nope," Dawn sassed. "So lemme tell you this - if you're spotting someone looking all sour in the clubs and **** like that - they need to find the exit. Because here in DK3-World, we don't take no **** from anybody and we keep. It. Going. This one's for y'all!" The song played as the girls jammed out. And surprise surprise - right before the chorus before Tyga's rap, Céline Dion came up on the stage too and the music stopped. The crowd roared, as many meltdowns were happening everywhere. Girls and gays were ****ing losing it, hitting the floor and crying their eyes out. "Did somebody request a Self Defense Chanteusé?" Céline spoke quietly, and then the music came in as she exploded into the Ratchet Remix and spit out her verse harder than anyone could've ever imagined, proving she is a true Rap threat in the game. "Tell these bitches, that my name is Céline / C-accented e-to the l-i-n-e / Bitches look at me, they be hating on me / Meanwhile, I'm on top slaying y'all, receipts? / Check check, that means you find the exit / Don't come for me again, unless you wanna be tested" she roared into the crowd, taking a stage dive as Danity Kane shouted her name and kept going with "Lemonade" until the very end. Céline disappeared into the crowd and left the scene, as Danity Kane thanked her and kept the crowd going. After that, they continued their set with more songs, including their biggest hit so far "Damaged", and their two new songs coming Sunday "Rage" and "Rhythm of Love". In total, the audience loved the set very much and views at home stayed consistent throughout their set, even more gaining with Céline's surprise appearance on the "Lemonade" performance. So yeah, besides Eric who's actually gonna read this here's the set list for y'all to get that quick read.
"Show Stopper"
"Bad Girl"
"Strip Tease"
"Pretty Boy"
"Lemonade" - surprise Céline Dion appearance
"Sleep On It"
"Rhythm of Love"
"Damaged"
"Rage"

Britney & Rihanna, Taylor Swift/Kylie Minogue and Rita Ora should round up the Top Three hopefully. I think Mariah could probably go Top Five too or Azealia - it's definitely tight competition

Christina Aguilera at VH1 Storytellers

Yesterday evening, VH1 Storytellers held a special edition for Christina Aguilera as she performed quite a number of songs for us and 'told her very own story' through this experience. She was invited by VH1 to do another stint since Christina had previously done VH1 Storytellers once before. Fortunately for them, Aguilera's team accepted on her behalf. Xtina rarely ever does things like these so it's pretty nice to witness her finally embracing what is now being served on a silver tin platter. "Let Them Eat Cake" reference, if you hadn't noticed! Aguilera had recently released her 8th studio album - "Pandora's Box" - so this shall prove beneficial to building up her latest era.
Aguilera started off performing a string of timeless hits although saved "Beautiful" as the encore, for pretty obvious reasons. She then delved into album tracks, such as the personal "I'm OK" from "Stripped", and laced in some new material from her latest release "Pandora's Box". Christina commanded the stage with much conviction as she belted her way through her setlist. Truth be told, Aguilera opted for a more rock-y blues-y soulful direction with VH1 Storytellers this time around. It was quite refreshing to experience such beautiful renditions of tracks that you wouldn't have imagine to fit such an edgy genre compared to that of pure pop perfection. A ravishing reggae rendition of bubblegum pop hit single "Genie In A Bottle" from her self-titled debut album was, in particular, a highlight from the VH1 Storytellers show methinks.
In light of realising her latest album - "Pandora's Box" - Christina has opted for more experimental fashion, reflecting that of the record's overall sound. Aguilera has various deals with companies that do surround their products and brand around the fashion industry so she does have expectations to live up to. Being the main spokesperson and "face of Christian Dior" is nothing to just pass over. Having said that, Xtina has gladly recognised the things that come with associating herself with brands like CoverGirl and Tiffany & Co. since they can abolish her contract deals with these companies in a matter of seconds.
This was probably the most afflicting moment of the entire evening: when Christina Aguilera bared her entire soul with "I'm OK". The song itself depicts Christina's father mentally and physically abusing his family. It was a really tear-wrenching performance since this was the first ever time Christina performed "I'm OK", for clearly obvious reasons. Nevertheless, Legend X pulled through for us and we're sure that it was therapeutic for her to at least let go some of those feelings of resentment she had as a child. Music has forever played a significant role in Xtina's life. We're happy to see her in a much better position than that of her childhood.
The viewing reaction to Christina Aguilera's edition of VH1 Storytellers was just as tremendous as the actual audience who were there themselves. It trumped the also well-received edition of Aguilera's first stint on VH1 Storytellers.
Her album "Pandora's Box" is now available for PURCHASE.
Aguilera's reggae-infused second single "Spitfire" f/ Azealia Banks is also available for PURCHASE.

CONEY ISLAND CONCERT
Thursday morning, before heading off to the iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party, Danity Kane took a surprise trip to Coney Island to chill a bit, and of course, work. The trio held a surprise concert, gathering thousands of audience members to spectate the performance. The event trended on Twitter for a bit - as many Danity Kane fans were scrambling to find someway of getting to stream it - although it was impossible. Their set contained ten songs, almost rounding out an hour of music. They performed their three new songs coming from their 'DK3' EP this Sunday, as well as many old hits, and they all teamed up on an Aubrey O'Day song to really give the crowd an uptempo surprise. Opening with "Rhythm of Love", the electric guitar introduction had many people in Coney Island following the sound to the stage to see what the hell was going on. Appearing onto a stage flaring with smoke, Danity Kane shocked the tourists and Shannon began to sing her opening part as many people got hyped and started recording. They did the normal choreography, still killing it as always and really brought their best A-game to the stage. The girls grabbed some water and started talking to Coney Island. "Good morning Coney Island, we're Danity Kane and we're so excited to have this little surprise concert for you and we hope that you guys are having a spectacular day," Shannon welcomed the audience. After Shannon talked a bit, Aubrey and Dawn were talking with the production crew and readying for their next song. "Now, if you're a true DK fan, put ya hand up and sing along," Dawn said. They performed "Touching My Body", a song originally created on the show that got them to where they are today, Making the Band. They didn't do much choreography, but they brought up a few guys and grinded on them a bit, laughing and smiling. Their next song would be a great album track banger titled "Back Up", which Danity Kane announced they were really excited to be performing. They brought big bongos, tom-toms and low-pitch drums to the stage and had men bang while they did some great choreography. After that performance, the girls were given stools and they slowed it down a bit. "This song is about loving someone so much, that'd you go insane for them. This is called Poetry," Dawn introduced. As a piano only played as some drums kicked in, the girls delivered an intense vocal to perform their biggest ballad yet, and really got the crowd swaying their hands up in the air and really getting them to listen to the music. Right after, the girls did a 180 by performing their latest single "Lemonade", which was really kicking it with the crowd. And surprise - Aubrey actually didn't rant! Simply saying - "It's pretty hot out, y'all like you need some lemonade!" to the crowd, and the funny thing was - they actually did throw cans of lemonade into the crowd. Their performance was electrifying and on-point as always, as dancers appeared out of thin air to assist them with the breakdown over Tyga's rapping, getting the crowd screaming and really enjoying themselves. After that, they surprised the audience by picking a song from one of the girls' discographies that was done solo. It was "Hurts So Good", by Aubrey O'Day featured on her debut solo album 'Between Two Evils'. They explained to the crowd that they chose this song because it was so upbeat and a little Electronic with Urban and Pop influences, which is a perfect song for a nice summer day of partying and fun. The girls sang the song together, bringing a completely new dimension to the song that Aubrey fans were very surprised to hear. The crowd continued to love the performance a lot, as Danity Kane kept shocking the crowd. Next, for the first time in almost a year, the girls performed a song that hadn't even been thought of by the audience. They sang "Blackout", which was the lead single to their 2013/Quartet album 'Danger', which will leak next week on MTV. They reminded the crowd of that, too. Performing it without Aundrea for the first time ever, the girls went in as hard as they can and up-ed the sexiness of the song to a high level that wasn't reached yet in this concert. The video of their performance went a bit viral, as somebody posted it online, and it attracted almost three million views within three days - as people were so shocked that "Blackout" would still be performed, considering it was paid dust on their No Filter Tour earlier this year. After that, Danity Kane told the crowd that they'll keep it predictable, but they've saved the best three songs for last. Performing a trinity of hits, "Show Stopper", "Damaged" and their next single "Rage", the girls really electrified the crowd and gave them a great day. Lots of media outlets such as E! and Extra talked about the event that night on their shows, really hyping up their followers for Danity Kane's upcoming EP, 'DK3' which will be released next Sunday. In addition, their discounted "Lemonade" and 'DK3' sustained their positions on the charts, doing very well as "Lemonade" was #3 on iTunes and 'DK3' was #5 with pre-orders only. And for y'all lazy hoes here's the setlist:
"Rhythm of Love"
"Touching My Body"
"Back Up"
"Poetry"
"Lemonade"
"Hurts So Good" - Aubrey O'Day song
"Blackout"
"Show Stopper"
"Damaged"
"Rage"

Xtina performs on America's Got Talent

Christina Aguilera showed in and showed out last night on America's Got Talent. They were currently in the midst of announcing the results of who goes home. Before that, however, viewers were treated to a mini musical treat from none other than the 'voice of our generation' Legend X herself. She performed reggae-infused track "Spitfire" featuring up-and-coming female rapper Azealia Banks who actually joined Xtina on the stage this time around, which was a shock to everybody since Azealia has been so busy with her own album release lately.
They both donned colourful matching ensembles - reminiscent to that of the paintballing scene in the popular music video of "Spitfire". By the way, it has already garnered and exceeded the music video for "Nighthawks" in terms of a scaling factor. Azealia and Christina both performed an intricate belly-dancing dance routine as the stage took on a hookah/shisha bar theme.
Her album "Pandora's Box" is now available for PURCHASE.
Aguilera's reggae-infused second single "Spitfire" f/ Azealia Banks is also available for PURCHASE.

Zendaya releases new controversial single "Lost In Rehab"
Without any kind of announcement or something, Zendaya pulled a Beyoncé today as she dropped her highly anticipated second single "Lost In Rehab", taken from her upcoming debut album. This new single is a follow-up to Zendaya's previously released single "Gunshots", which features American country pop singer Taylor Swift. In fact, Zendaya did the same thing with "Lost In Rehab" as she did with "Gunshots" - both singles dropped on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify without any warning about it. But, unlike "Gunshots", "Lost In Rehab" actually received a lot of attention from the start, probably because Zendaya's audience were really anticipating to hear more from this exciting singer, since everyone all around the world literally fell inlove with "Gunshots", and that basically caused a huge hype for Zendaya's upcoming projects. Once the new single was released on iTunes, it debuted in the Top 5 on those charts immediately, meaning that a lot of people checked it out and bought it. Republic Records released a statement about this new release only few hours later after it dropped, but it was worth waiting for that statement, because probably everything was explained in that press release, by Zendaya herself, and Republic's CEO as well.
CEO of Republic Records commented on Zendaya's choice to push those boundaries a little bit more by putting out this controversial song as a single out: "There are a lot of singers who are now talking about love, and adventures, and Zendaya chose to be that singer who would talk a little bit more about some serious stuff. And we're actually happy that she is choosing this path, because a lot of singers are avoiding these serious topics, while Zendaya is just fearless and is not afraid to put out something like that. Of course, we definitely know that this song will probably receive some negative opinions and reviews because of that seriousness, because after all - Zendaya is only seventeen years old yet she's choosing to sing about these things. But on the other hand, I'm sure many people will praise her for this song, because it talks about something serious, something that a lot of teenagers are going throught right now, or not even teenagers, because adults have to go through this stuff as well, so as long as it helps someone overcome their problems, we will do everything to help Zendaya to get her song go out there."
For this press statement, Zendaya talked about this idea of putting stuff just whenever she wants, without any kind of announcement: "I don't know, I just really love this idea of putting out my material whenever I want, in any kind of way, if you understand that? It feels just natural and right, like, I don't really have to rush my releases now, I don't really have to announce the date or anything, I just... go with the flow, as some people would say. It feels way less stressful and it's a bit more affective way - all of the artists these days announces dates, they announce the details and everything, and then sometimes they even delay some stuff as well, and those delays hurt sales as well. So, I'm walking in Beyoncé's footsteps at the moment by releasing my stuff just whenever I want. I can literally wake up tomorrow and release my new album then. It's a way less stressful way, and I'm loving it." She also explained the meaning behind of her single, "Lost In Rehab", which was released earlier that day: "Um, this song, "Lost In Rehab" is really meaningful and personal to me. Unlike "Gunshots", this song has a story behind it, you know? "Gunshots" was more based on a message, like, it was about being picked and bothered by something or someone, and then just getting up and fighting whatever is bugging you. But "Lost In Rehab" has a real meaning and it's really personal. It's based on a story about one of my best friends, who was in a really tragic and sad place some time ago. He was depressed, because he had some stuff going on with his parents at that time, and his father was also hitting him all the time, picking up on him, because you know, he was different, and he wasn't that son that his dad always wanted him to be. Besides that, he was going through a lot of stuff as well, he was constantly bullied, people on the streets and other guys would always bully him, sometimes, they would even beat him up. And nobody really noticed that something is happening in his life and that's he's hurting physically and emotionally, until he started using drugs and alcohol to forget about his problems for some time. Of course, he instantly changed, he became angry and mad, and sad, and depressed, and it was a terrible time for him. When his parents noticed the way he has been acting, they decided to commit him to the rehab, instead of trying to solve his problems as parents first. Just like any other person, he was devasted and brokenhearted. And... in the rehab, where you should actually start to feel better, he only felt worse, because he started overthinking everything - about his parents, about his friends, about his bullies and everything. And that kind of stuff happens when you're alone in the room and you basically don't have anything to do to distract yourself from overthinking. And when that happens, you start thinking about committing suicide, you start thinking about a lot of bad things, you start thinking about stuff like "the world would be better without me". And he actually tried to commit suicide in that rehab, but thank God he was able to overcome his thoughts, he overcame his issues over some time, he lifted his chin and came back from that rehab with confidence. He shared his story with us, his friends, when he came back, then some other stuff got involved and now he's actually living a good life, he's smiling once again and he's finally happy." Of course, this song definitely received some negativity for being too controversial and too serious for a seveteen years old singer to sing, but Zendaya handled everything in a right and polite way: "I know that a lot of people will think that it's bad or something for me to sing about something that is this kind of serious, but on the other hand, I have to sing about serious stuff as well. We have a lot of teenagers who sing about sex, drugs, alcohol, getting turnt up or something, and my age people actually look up to those things, so why I can't sing about serious stuff as well? I want my fans to be inspired, I want them to realize that there's another chance, there's another choice, and there's always a brighter day. Teenage years are when we want to get out, when we want to start our lifes, when we want to try out new things, those are the years when we have to handle our first problems. So, I want to talk about those things, I want to inspire people with those stories, I want them to sit down and realize that they have to think about what they're doing, they have to think about what they're thinking, and they have to try to solve their problems in any possible way to live a better, and a bright life."

Kylie Minogue on KIIS FM
Ryan Seacrest: Good Morning Kylie
Kylie Minogue: Good Morning Ryan!
RS: What a beautiful day
KM: It is, isn’t it?
RS: Yes it is, I’m not gonna talk about the commercial now, it’s going to be for later so everybody will have to wait [laughs[, I’m so stoked to see your new tour, like really, some insiders are telling me that the tour is really amazing and shared a few details that I think I can’t tell on air, but I’m defiantly attending, will you tell the people about the tour a lil bit?
KM: Yes, sure. The tour is different from anything I’ve done, it’s very well produced and doesn’t have any filler performances, you know some shows have those performances that are kinda dull and it was just put to add time to the show? It doesn’t have that, it’s very entertaining from beginning to end. It’s very theatrical too and yes, it does have a backstory so it’s going to be a full show you don’t want to miss.
RS: That’s beautiful, and you’ve just announced the north america tour dates!
KM: Yes, I did and they’re on sale right now at livenation.com, the tickets are running out so you better be quick and get one! [laughs]
RS: Your new tour obviously promotes your new album Distant Days which came out a few days ago, does the tour connect with the album?
KM: Yes, absolutely! the tour puts the album and tells you it’s story, it’s going to be a visual version of the album with a few extra additions, you know my old songs are also going to be on the tour.
RS: Did you guys listen to her album? It’s amazing [people in the studio cheer]
KM: [laughs] thank you!
RS: One of the songs that stood out in my opinion from the album is Careless, it’s such a hot track, I love it. Your new single, “Burn,” the follow up from the smash Circles was released the day the album came out and your new video has 165 million views already on YouTube.
KM: That’s crazy! [paranoid scream]
RS: [laughs] and obviously everybody knows about the muslim thing that happened, how did you go through that?
KM: Well I’m still going through that actually, I always have notifications on my iPhone that just tell me to go to die [laughs] that’s when I turned off the notifications for twitter, I used to have it on to see what my fans say about me and what I do but now I guess I have to visit the actual app [frown]
RS: Well, not only that but also your commercial caused a lot of stir everywhere, especially to parents, what is your response to that?
KM: When I actually filmed the commercial I though it was going to be a lot worse that what all of you saw, so I had it in my mind that it won’t be aired on daytime. But I understand where these parents are coming from, I didn’t want my commercial to air on daytime either but now it’s all fixed so we can’t move on from that, hopefully.
RS: Some people clearly haven’t moved on on social media [laughs] it went viral and now people are imitating you.
KM: I saw that, that was funny [laughs]
RS: Well that’s all the time we have left for this interview, go get Distant Days on iTunes now and don’t forget to check out Kylie Minogue’s new world tour that’s coming to the US in late october.
