I started watching Zexal on Netflix this week and it is so cringe-worthy. The American voice actors and the plot so far (episode 25) are terrible. But it's cool to see some of the cards I've collected on there.

After a few weeks of the release of Vol.1, duelists were blessed with "Booster 1" (March 1, 1999). A set that contained 40 cards, of which 5 were a re-print of all Equip Spells in Vol.1. Also there was a tournament in which the Attendee Prize Card was "Kanan the Swordmistress".
This SINGLE card, changed the game. As Duelists were previously focusing more in Beast-Type monsters, since out of all the three 1200ATKers, "Silver Fang" was the only one that had support with an Equip Spell.
Most Meta Duelists were filling their decks with the likes of "Archfiend Marmot of Nefariousness", "Meotoko" and "Dark Gray". But with the release of Kanan, they changed the focus to Warrior-Types. The biggest disadvantage Kanan had was the anti-meta "Trap Hole". The game became faster as well, cuz now you had a monster that could kill all 1200ATKers without any support needed. The hype was real.
I will doing these kind of stories always, so people get informed about the evolution of dueling. If anyone wants to make a chrono duel just let me know. Also, I will add a story for Vol.1 since I didn't do it and it's unfair.

Yep. I'm working on it as we speak, also I'm writing the Booster 1 story cuz we will use all of it since it only adds a few low-level normal monsters and 2 more "Recover LP" and "Deal LP damage" cards.

Out of curiosity why is Hitotsu-Me semi and not the other two 1200 ATKers...
and would we not just semi-limit Kanan right off the bat coz 1400/1400 is the best monster we have right now

Nah I only ran 2. Now, if it was like Final Flame, you bet I'd be running 3. But this early, Sparks only doing 200 damage when it could cause me an almost-dead draw for a turn isn't worth it. Hence running 2
