My crush sometimes wouldn't text me back everyday so I found myself initiating more than he did. And then when he WOULD text me first it was like going all the way back to step 1 again and falling right back into the same pattern. It's tragic, but it's definitely self torture. My crush lives two hours from me on train, but he goes to uni somewhere else which is where my friends live and is only an hour from me, so this is how I met him.

Imma call him "J". J and I met in early December through Grindr, although we had originally spoken in November very briefly due to visiting a friend. I met up with him and had a good night with my friends and him, we got drunk, talked about things and stuff. I came back to London and kept talking to him on Snapchat, we spoke for two weeks straight, then just before Christmas it went a bit quiet. He then told me he's been spending a lot of time with someone since being back home for Christmas and he really likes them. So that hurt. Anyway, he was coming to London for NYE and we had planned to meet up prior to this revelation so I kinda knew that wasn't happening anymore, however on NYE he messaged me asking if he could come hang out with me and my friends and I said yes.

So, we all hang out that night and eventually in the club at like 6am we had a drunk conversation and i told him how I don't blame him nor am I mad at him for meeting someone else as it's understandable and we had only met up once so it's totally fine, but I did tell him that i liked him and whatever. He ended up saying he wanted to kiss me and we kissed. Yesterday, we spoke on Snapchat and at first it was great but then he said along the lines of "I know we kissed but we were drunk and I like spending time with you, I like you, but you living in London makes it difficult and this other guy who I've been spending time with, I really do like him a lot and our conversation helped me realise that. I do want to be friends with you honestly". So that HURT AGAIN.

We're still talking and I'm going to see him again but clearly just as friends, although that's going to be hard for me lol... But I got nothing else I can do about it as I do like him as a person in general, so I'll have to get over it.
