Brandy's music isn't basic. If you like the Red album then you must like Aphrodisiac.
I listened to that album and liked "Who I Am" but the rest wasn't appealing, memorable, or stuck to you.
I think she had one other good song on that album that sounded like her crying in a grave for 5 minutes, with rain in the background -- or it could've been a song from Full Moon.
Stevie Nicks has had a major impact on female singer songwriters. Madonna has had major impact on female pop stars. I'm slow but if you meant Stevie Nicks is taken more seriously then yes obviously.

"Ribs" is awesome. I would support it as a single, even if I don't think it would be as received as "Royals" or "Team."
Honestly, anything off of her album could work as a single. Tennis Courts is a monster smash waiting to happen though, I don't know why they keep holding that one off
