What is the big deal??? Beyonce's Halo video Debuted in December and wasnt released to radio until end of January and was a big smash.
There's a reason IDJ is doing this. This will also coincide with the promo she has lined up and Nivea campaign.
I posted this in the CKB thread, hopefully to clear up any confusion:
The dual release isn't a problem. As already stated, CKB would NEVER in it's life cross over to Urban, and Man Down would do little damage if not pushed on Pop. Therefore, the songs are not treading on each others water. The only flaw in the system is that CKB is a little risky. Not only is it a ballad, but it's a guitar driven ballad that has a little country twang to it (although it will more then likely not be played on Country radios). It's saving grace however is the fact that it is coming off of THREE huge Pop radio hits for the era, so stations will be more inclined to play it.
Ideally Man Down will smash Urban and Rhythmic (how could it not, MD is practically tailor-made for these panels) and CKB will do it's thing on Pop and hopefully crossover to Hot AC and AC stations, where the song would fit in perfectly. The only other downfall will be the fact that single sales won't be very impressive (just a hunch I have) but in a perfect world, and probably what we should be aiming more towards anyways, this dual release will convert into album sales.

I really like her dress but just not with that hairstyle. Her hair in the Vogue cover or at the Grammy's would've looked amazing with that dress. I do like how her green earrings contrast with her hair and dress though.
