It's obviously a lot more commercial than The Family Jewels, so I can see why some people don't like it.

Electra Heart > Froot > The Family Jewels imo (though I LOVE all three).

I love each other for their reasons
but electra I love that bitchy, cold hearted, confident diva. it reminds me of me and I just love the message

as I love froot for being a little stripped down and vulnerable
I love froot the song because it's so different even though at first i diet really like it as much but on the album on hole it's a standout

Marina pulling the same figures as Avril's last album. Queen. 8k in the UK and 45k in the US Now if Marina only had Asia, she'd end up selling 600k too. Oh well. I am so happy that the album is going to do well in the U.S. and Marina can ensure her label completely support her due to that. I am disappointed in her UK charting still though. I thought she'd get that #1 in the UK again. My country stanning though, #4 in Ireland!

Froot did 10k and charted at 10. She was only 78 copies away from 9..



Oh Marina. Here's hoping she actually comes back to the UK and does a huge promo blitz. I hope the label continues to push it and doesn't drop funding/support. On the plus side she has the tour, festivals and the Clean Bandit collaboration to help. If they were smart they'd release Blue and do a UK radio tour with it. I know people will be like "she doesn't care about sales" but Atlantic will.

The Family Jewels did 27k first week and currently stands at 195k. It's sold around 16k in the last three years so decent trickle sales. Electra Heart did 21k and currently stands at about 90k. Since 2013 it's sold about 17k. I imagine it'll go Gold within the next 5 years

Last I checked Hollywood was on 195k & Primadonna on 205k.

Yes they do, but when an album is released on iTunes, it doesn't automatically fill up from their accumulated pre-orders. I think that's the case. I remember Rebel Heart didn't hit #1 after released because of this new rule despite strong initial pre-orders.
