Apparently, the folks over at Black Entertainment Television are not as supportive of Ciara's goodies as we thought. In June, her video for "Ride" -- which features the R&B diva grinding suggestively and riding a mechanical bull (in a wet t-shirt, no less) -- was banned by the network for being too hot for TV. (Were they sleeping when the video for "Love Sex Magic" was released?) Ciara is currently working on a video for the songs remix, featuring Andre 3000. This time, no bull.

People criticized and called her out for the SLIGHT sound change on Fantasy Ride and you want her to be like K3$ha?? She said she would never do that electropop **** or stray too far from HER sound which is fine as it is, she just needs a uptempo for POP and she'll be fine. .

Yeah, "Never Ever," "Work" and "Go Girl" were so different from all the other stuff she released early on in her career? Rite. Fantasy Ride really wasn't different from all the other stuff she released. Outside of that Justin Timberlake track, which was her biggest hit from her fail of an album, nothing was "different." Her problem is staying confined in the "Crunk & R&B"/generic R&B/The-Dream/Matrix hole. She hasn't grown as an artist. I like Ciara, so don't think I'm trying to diss her. I have even defended her on this board, but "Ride" isn't really getting people (maybe her fans) that hot. I just don't want to see her album flop.

Basic Instinct is incredible. Probably my favourite song from her. It's like the urban female version of The Eye Of The Tiger.
I've had a soft spot for her music since 2007 and if the whole album goes as hard as this track, then my liking for her is going to reach another level.

Glad Ride is still climbing the charts, it's my current jam for when I work out.
