The reputation system never had a true downvote option. It was either a "Like" or a simple up arrow. When you clicked the up arrow you'd see the down arrow to remove your vote/like.
The whole system is already disabled in the version that beta testers will be on this week. Maybe in the future we'll be able to make it work on a specific section of the forum or in the context of helpful content or even to reward creative content (e.g when someone posts a tutorial or a magazine). In that use case, it's likely that only staff members would be able to officially recognize content. But that's all stuff we'll revisit post-launch.

It's a completely different server that we bought for ATRL's future growth. I should also point out that this forum itself is the problem, not necessarily the server. The forum itself has outdated software and a bloated database that would give any server a rough time.
