Did she not learn anything from Instant tracks? This is why Slow Down didnt touch the top 25
I don't think being an instant grat hurt Slow Down that much. The fact that it wasn't released for radio airplay until nearly two months later hurt it. & the song was certified Platinum, and reached top ten on pop radio. Timing was the only major issue with it.
The thing with these pre-order songs is that nobody even knows whether they are singles or not. People won't know about it until radio start playing it And as far as i know this doesn't have radio dead, so it will have to grow on radio first and then stabilise and rise on iTunes
