It will peak in the top 10 (maybe top 5) from downloads and then fall off, like "Keeps Gettin' Better."

Those peaks are for radio, not Hot 100. For the main chart, I see it peaking Top 10 then falling (due to the airplay). Don't see sales being strong either, maybe a little better than KGB first week (143k). She's never done great digitally either. Back To Basics saw "ANOM" get barely past a million (almost a year after it's release), "Hurt" just a bit beyond Gold, and "Candyman" I'm not sure..

Oh, I didn't notice that. Yeah exactly. She doesn't have huge radio support or huge digital support--it's all up to the more dedicated fanbase.

its true about her digital sales but i think she can sell well with the right song. i mean the ones who seem to be huge diggital sellers are all the new artist. Rihanna, Gaga,Taylor,Kesha. they outsold Britney, Beyonce p!nk, Kelly.
from what i remember
ANOM 1.3 million
Hurt 700k
CandyMan 800k
KGB 800k

so you are pretty much saying Christina's voice makes the song worse?

Tbh I barely see it cracking the Top 20. .It is LACKING something I dont know what but it sounds almost too generic and it doesnt have something that stands out about it, nothing special. . .
She is getting good radio updates now more because of her NAME and 1st singles by artists like that always have good takeoff rates but it's what happens when the novelty of the track dies down that really matters in the end

H100>>>>> Nobody cares about the radio peaks only ____ stans.
The last half of the song is the **** when the beat slows down.

pop radio is still important cause it pushes digital sales. which make a higher peak on the Hot 100.

her voice makes the song! the vocals If someone else was singing this song it would be autotuned to death...
but you know some people don't like her "screaming"

You are right. .The Hot 100 DOES matter more because it combines radio AND digital sales and measures everything about a track But remember that radio airplay can have an enormous effect on digital sales

Out of your list, truly GaGa is the only consistent large digital seller. The others "new" ones you listed only have noted bigger sellers, while the "older" artists have their number of large songs as well as lower ones. So don't see how that matters.

Regardless of the number of spins, its the audience impression that matters! And the fact that z100 is giving it spins means its well ahead of the songs in its range. Meaning, NMT is ahead of all the songs in the 50's range:
60 51 CHARICE Pyramid f/Iyaz 493 265 228 2.646
58 52 THEORY OF A DEADMAN All Or Nothing 432 302 130 1.046
54 53 JAICKO Fast Forward (FFWD) 410 413 -3 1.111
56 54 KINGS OF LEON Sex On Fire 349 393 -44 1.5
53 55 OWL CITY Vanilla Twilight 308 414 -106 1.85
62 56 CYPRESS HILL Armada Latina 299 254 45 1.93
57 -- CHRISTINA AGUILERA Not Myself Tonight 298 0 298 2.802
48 58 PARAMORE Ignorance 286 513 -227 1.036
65 59 CARTEL The Perfect Mistake 277 199 78 0.537
72 60 BOYS LIKE GIRLS Heart Heart Heartbreak 244 129 115 0.841

I think this is off to a great start.

But radio determines how well it does on the Hot 100. Can't ignore. We're not just talking peaks either.

i love how people are aready dismissing the song just because THEY didnt like it. The opinion of the general public is what matters. The general public are the ones who will buy the song on itunes and determine its success. The promotion for the single hasnt even started yet, its only been out for few days. But anyways, if 3 hit number one than so can this song

Im just pointing out the newer artist are the ones who seem to be the HUGE digital sellers. the older ones have a couple of big songs but thats it.
Taylor 25+ million
Gaga 20 + million
Rihanna 20 + million
Kesha is on track on having the best selling digital track ever and her "flop" single is gonna sell 2 mill.
Britney has a couple Womanizer, and 3
Beyonce has single Ladies and Halo
p!nk has So What
Kelly has My Life Would Suck WIth Out You

No... I guess I don't love the arrangement though, some parts of her delivery don't go with the music.

Well, "people" can discuss possibilities. Just giving opinions based on how we feel. Just like you hate Britney songs and wish they flopped..some people feel this song might underperform. And it's not like "people" aren't giving proper and respectful reasonings such as her history of weak digital performances and last few radio flaws. "3" is an instantly craved/catchy song. Something radio/people love. It got positive reviews across the board by critics and listeners. This song, and you know it, has been getting mixed reviews all week so far with exceptions of reviewers who are easily pleased. But don't see the need to compare, this is a Christina thread.
