Sorry I forgot about this. I was a tad busy during the long weekend, and just got back from seeing Miss Patti LaBelle in concert at the Kennedy Center!!!
Anyway, here's what to expect for next week:
* THREE countdown debuts, including:
>> A legendary rock band, whose lead singer doesn't quite know how to count in Spanish ("Uno! Dos! Tres! Catorce! ")
>> A former American Idol winner, with her album's title track (and the main single off of the soundtrack to The Princess Diaries 2 ).
>> Simon LeBon & co., with the first single to feature the band's all five original members since 1985.
* And we say goodbye to two videos that debuted not too long ago on the exact same week, and one that debuted way back in July.
And this week's debuts:
Eminem, "Just Lose It"
Sarah McLachlan, "World on Fire" (
this should've won Breakthrough Video in 2005...
)

Yep, "Vertigo" starts with that broken-Spanish count I mentioned: "Uno, dos, tres, catorce"
There are also a couple more lines of Spanish in the song, as seen here:
Quote:
Hello hello
(Hola)
I'm at a place called Vertigo
(Donde esta?)
It's everything I wish I didn't know
Except you give me something
I can feel, feel

I haven't heard that song in a about a year. No wonder why I couldn't guess it.

Good debuts, though not excellent.
Here's what to expect for next week:
* FINALLY, a brand spankin' new #1!!! (not that I dislike Maroon 5's song, but enough is enough...)
* A countdown debut from an African-American California rocker, with a song that appeared in GAP commercials with Sarah Jessica Parker back then.
* Another debut from three girls who don't want to lose their breath: "Can you keep up? "
* The return of a guy who still doesn't want to be anything other than what he's been trying to be lately.
* And we say goodbye to three videos in the bottom half of the countdown.
And this week's debuts:
Kelly Clarkson, "Breakaway"
Duran Duran, "(Reach Up for the) Sunrise"
U2, "Vertigo"
