Shake It Off by Taylor Swift had massive longevity and the video was realesed instantly... since she has a team connected to Taylor they are probably using a similar strategy. I think they know what they are doing. If the song is good, it will sell even in the following weeks with airplay and promo.

I didn't say it will be the case but it's a possibility. And then again the industry has changed a lot since i've been active in chart stuff (basically Heart Attack era).
I do trust in her team and i think whatever they will decide will be the best choice for the single, so we will see
