I feel so stupid. I went to a "prestigious" high school that gives free full scholarships to all graduates applying to US universities. I could damn well have gotten into an Ivy League w/ scholarship had I applied, but I missed the deadline and opted for a Dutch university

It doesn't really get you scholarships. Some volunteer places do have scholarships available which you can apply for. But if you want a scholarship, volunteer work is a HUGE component of it, more so than college admissions. There was a local medical scholarship of $2,000 each given to 3 students from my school and I had a higher ACT than all 3 of them, higher GPA than 1 of them, and am going to actual medical school unlike any of them, but I didn't get one because I had very limited volunteer work

My college is offering an accounting, investments, finance, capital market courses. Yasss! I'm taking accounting in the fall now. Also my professor is a rich man who's been in finance for decades. I'm excited. I wouldn't have guessed a liberal arts college would offer this.

Yes. That's for one year. It's crazy. It's much cheaper to study abroad than to study at my school.
