We're just being honest, because that's the only way you'll be able to improve as a songwriter. Maybe this was just a bad one for you and you can do better. Take the criticism and use it to improve yourself. There were others that got just as much criticism as you. That being said, there are some really good songwriters here and it wouldn't be fair to them if we praised everyone equally. The truth is some songs were better in this round than others.

Well I won't be here for the live reveal of who gets eliminated, but I will tell you guys this: PLEASE do not let us discourage you from writing. In the first season on Platinum Hit, there were only 12 contestants, and I only came in 6th. Only? Yeah, the other writers all got eliminated due to no submission. I was the first actual elimination from that season.
I then tried again...I tried harder. I ended up winning the next season.
If writing is something you genuinely enjoy, do not take it hard if you get eliminated from this round!

Yeah but there was a lot of biased opinions in them. I mean, just because you don't think that something isn't good, doesn't mean that it's really not good.
If you wanna leave some imagination to the song then that's your thing but sometimes I like songs that are straight up sex. Why should I get low scores if you think that the song should be wrapped in metaphors? I thought we'd get judges based on our word-choosing, rhyming overall flow of the song but no. I got judged on whether if the song should leave imagination or not (which is opinionated)

If you're going to do anything creative, be it painting, songwriting, graphic design, etc., you have to be able to take criticism. That just comes along with the creative fields.
I will add that while I don't think my criticism is 'harsh' per se, as a writer myself, I find it more helpful when someone points out where I can improve, and that's basically where I'll give the most detailed feedback. Since I gave very brief notes this time I didn't follow my usual feedback model, which is to point out both strengths and weaknesses, but I'll definitely do that later in the game!

Oh dear, my sources tell me otherwise.
I think you're fine btw, just trust and believe in the power of yourself. That's what I always do when **** hits the fan. Even if you are eliminated (in a hypothetical situation ofc)...at least you're capable of understanding WHY. If anything, I'm the one at risk especially when taking into consideration of me being a veteran in all of this. We'll have to prayer together, I guess, which is something I don't do that often sis.
