Definitely a strong comeback. I disagree that it on Settle Down level, which was weak. BDL is accessible and appealing, but it is likely far from the strongest single on the album. Unlike SD, this is strong enough to carry the weight as Gwen's first single in 8 years.
sounds like a very Gwen song, I like it but I feel like it's comparative to 'Settle Down' in that there was likely a much better lead single choice waiting in the wings but they went with this one instead. Not expecting it to do great but excited for new music!
