Namie Amuro Goes On Good Morning America
Talks New Single + Announces Surprise Release Date!
As promised in her tweets last night J-Pop sensation Namie Amuro appeared on this mornings' show of popular news / talk show Good Morning America! Having just recently been flown in from Japan Namie's glowing face radiated on screen as she was anxious to announce quite the BIG announcement to morning America! After a reel of her last works of arts and a short interview in which Namie talked about her short vacation to Japan, her hiatus and newly founded sub label it was time for the Japanese star to unveil her huge announcement after the commercial breaks! The subject of music was brought up after one of the interviews question amuro on her slip of the mouth last night on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon as she accidentally reviled her latest singles title "Sweet Kisses". Blushing red and moving with excitement namie revealed to GMA that she did have a motivate behind coming here this morning and announced that's happily ready to confirm that her new single "Sweet Kisses" will be available TONIGHT On Itunes while pre-orders for the new single have already gone up in the states and worldwide to follow! As the interviews tried to collect themselves from the excitement Namie began giving the dirt on the new single stating "This is definitely A new beginning for me in my music career, it's a complete 180 from Ballerina & most of "The Amuro Experience" the song is really catchy and is really reminiscent of 60's sass and cheer squad preppiness. The song's really just a huge flirt anthem and meant to be empowering in a not so serious way!" when asked about the music video for the song Namie revealed that they're 3/4's of the way done with it and will be nothing but classic namie. Before the interviewers could ask Namie about her album her time had ended and she thanked them for having her before subtly hinting "don't worry will have this talk sometime soon!".

Azealia For Power 105.1

Azealia went on Power 105.1 to do an interview yesterday. The interview was posted on Banks' YouTube account immediately following the on air audio. With "Vibes" being the station's current #1, the people over at the New York urban station were pleased to have the young star do an interview. Immediately following the interview, the station played "Vibes" like they do at the start of every hour. Before that though, Azealia performed an accoustic version of her songs Vibes, Free, and Dramatix. Read below for highlights of the 20 minute long interview:
Q: Welcome Azealia Banks! We're glad to have you back and we're loving your latest single Vibes. That was a killer acoustic performance. Wow. You truly have talent.
A: Thanks I'm glad to be here. Thanks! I worked hard on the song and I'm glad I'm getting appreciation for it. It actually took me a month to perfect and write Vibes. I didn't want any help either. I'm not like other fancy artists that like to get a little help here and there with writing. You know what I'm saying?
Q: Oop was that shade? I think that was some shade. Wow. It is too early in the morning for this
A: *laughs* I don't know. Was it shade? You tell me.
Q: We're just going to conclude that you threw some SHADE!
A: Haha well just conclude what you want, I guess.
- Q: Okay so the other day you released a teaser to your video for "Vibes" and some people are not feeling it.
A: Really? wow this sure is news to me. Fresh off the platter hot and ready news. All I have to say is, I don't care. I do what I want and this is what I want. I don't care if some people get made at what I do. At the end of the day, I have 16 million views on a teaser for a music video for a trance song. I'm making bank and this is helping me move to the top of the charts. They can keep talking but they're gonna keep watching and at the end of the day, I'm making bank.
Q: You're damn right you are. Is all this album's videos going to be like this though?
A: I don't know. Damn.
- Q: Okay so you got some competition this time around like big competition. You got Kanye, Jay, and Bey. Not only them but Katy and Nicki, and Iggy and Kylie, Miley, Brandy and everyone under the damn sun. Are you worried about charting?
A: No. You know why? Because at the end of the day what I do is different from all of them. With Paula's death, rest in peace, I began to realize that I will rise about everything.
Q: That's so true and great. What's your favorite song of all these people though?
A: I'm really digging Fire by Brandy and Chris. I've been a Brandy fan my whole life and that is such an outstanding song. I'm so glad she's coming back, I grew up watching Moesha and she's just my idol.
- Q: What do you think about people calling you the queen of rap? Cause a lot of people are saying that after you got those two big hits and you're preparing for your 3rd.
A: What I say is I'm not the queen of rap. There is one queen and that's Missy. No one comes ahead of her. I could only wish to be on her level. With "Vibes" I channeled everything I had but nothing will put me on Missy's level. I can only dream of something like that.
Q: We are happy you came here Azealia. Everyone be sure to buy "Vibes" on iTunes or you can purchase a physical copy at any store you can think of.
A: No exclusives!
Q: Right no exclusives! Go to Walmart, Best Buy, any store and you can buy "Vibes" in physical form for only $1.
*Vibes plays at end of interview*

Exclusive: Jhené Aiko covers VIBE magazine; spills on Rihanna collab!
Critics darling, Jhené Aiko covers next month's edition of Vibe Magazine!
In an exclusive interview Jhené reveals the process of songwriting and being a perfectionist.
Vibe: You just released the lead single off Souled Out, tell us how the song came about
Jhené: Well, I wrote the song in 2011 for my mixtape sailing soul(s), but because I had a lot of material already I decided to keep "Side Chick" because it's the most personal song I've ever written, and I knew I wanted the song to reach a wider audience. No I.D gave me a beat last year, but the production didn't quite fit with the theme of the song. I mean, I luh NO I.D, but I had to tell him what's up. We approached a lot of rap producers, but Boi-1da's beat immediately captured me.
Vibe: You sound like quite the perfectionist?
Jhené: I think perfectionist doesn't even begin to describe it (laughs) I'm a soul extremist! I'm very involved in my work and if I don't feel a beat, I'll approach producer who I feel will understand that its not just about making a beat. It's about taking the fans on a journey. The lyrics, the production and style need to be cohesive otherwise it won't resonate with my fans (soulmates).
Vibe: You've received some back lash from females on social networks for your single "Side Chick", but the critics have praised the song, how do you deal with the mixed responses?
Jhené: You know, my label was worried about the lyrics and the message the song represents, but luckily my label and I breathe in synch. They understand me. We were all like: "**** it" - some people will get it, others won't. it doesn't really bother me that I get backlash from twitter trolls. My real fans will connect with the song and that is what matters to me the most. As far as critics are concerned, I'm obviously glad that they love it, its refreshing to know that there are a group of people out there who get the type of artist I aspire to be!
Vibe: Sevyn Streeter recently said that your music is monotonous and that you've become cocky because of your success. How do you feel about that statement?
Jhené: I don't feel anything, to be quite honest with you. I feel like Sevyn could have hit me up and say it to my face and I would accept her criticism and keep it moving. The fact that she went on the radio and said that says a lot about her character than mine. If she wanted to sell records , she should promote her music not mine. I haven't listened to any of her music, but if I had I would have spoken to her in private and not address her publicly. If my free-spirited qualities are seen as being cocky, then **** it. I love Sevyn as a person, I wish her well, regardless.
Vibe: You worked with Rihanna on your upcoming album. Tell us about the sound of the song and how the collaboration came about
Jhené: Well, we met up in France last year at Drake's concert and she was like "GuuuuuuurL we should collab" and I thought she joked because we got high as **** that night. A couple of weeks her label hit me up and said that they were busy with planning for Rihanna's next album and that Rihanna has expressed interest in collaborating with me. So we wrote some stuff together while rolling some white papers (laughs) and we came up with a masterpiece. We hit the studio a couple of days later and recorder the song. A few months later Rihanna told me they were not going to use the song, so my label processed the paper work so that the song can be on my album! It was genuinely so much fun working with her and Alex da kidd. They are both dope smoking budds and amazing artists!
Jhené's single is out now on iTunes for $0.99! Her debut album will be released in the summer!

IGGY AZALEA GRACES THE COVER OF SPORTS ILLUSTRATED
Iggy Azalea is the cover model for the latest issue of Sports Illustrated. The Australian born rapper, made her way back to her home country after months of relentless media exposure and promotional works, to sit down and talk with us.
Q. Welcome back to Australia! How does it feel to be back?
A. It feels incredible, I haven't been back in over a year so it feels so good to be back in my home.
Q. So Iggy, tell us, how do you manage to get that amazing body?
A. Haha, well it's actually not that hard, for me that is. I have always been slim and have always had a good body. But I will tell you that all the dancing that i have been doing lately has worked. I also occasionally work out but that's about it.
Q. Lucky you! I heard about your new record label, that must be exciting!
A. Yeah it really is. It feels so cool to be in control of my own music. Even the artists' that I signed have most of their music stem from themselves.
Q. And how is all the new music coming along?
A. It's really coming together. The re-release will only have about 6 new songs but I'm working hard to make those songs as perfect as possible.
Q. Keepin' It Real sounds amazing, it is so addictive, perfect song for a workout. I'm sure that all the songs will be just as good. Thanks for sitting down with us Iggy
A. No problem

Britney "Takes Over" MTV
"Behind The Celebrity" on July 12th, 2014 8/7 Central
Britney is teaming up with MTV to release a special documentary about Britney's current life, upcoming projects, and tell-all interview about the past year. MTV has been recording the documentary for several weeks through various rehearsals and photoshoots. Britney has also recorded the grand majority of the one on one tell all interview in which she "opens up on everything, no bullsh*t, no edits, 100% raw Britney". The documentary will also continue to be recorded up till the final day before it's release to be as up to date as possible.
The poster was tweeted out by both Britney and MTV with the following words:
"Tune in on July 12th, 2014 at 8/7 Central. No lies, no edits, no bullsh*t"
MTV also made some changes including a revamped twitter layout:
As well as a new logo which is shown after every TV show that airs on MTV
The changes will remain in place for the next 2 weeks as MTV will begin to continually promote Britney through their twitter account and on TV. Fans can expect some documentary trailers which will be played constantly on MTV and will most probably feature Britney's new material.

Billboard Gives Early Review
Of Namie's Newest Single"Sweet Kisses"
Quote:
Long anticipated and vanished Japanese Pop singer Namie Amuro makes her 2nd attempt at a comeback into the world with latest single "Sweet Kisses". After smashing in the Top 5 consistently with singles such as the EDM anthem "Heaven" produced by Zedd, The electronic retro throwback "What A Feeling" Produced by Shinichi Osawa and the Reggae Inspired "La La La". Namie Amuro definitely seeks to regain her Top 5 reign with Sweet Kisses. A complete 180 from her previous buzz single gone dead Ballerina (Which also endured the help with a trap remix featuring celine dion). Moving away from the her usual upbeat infectious electronic instrumental, Namie serves a full on bubble gum pop record which one might call a Modern day "Hey Mickey!". The songs pre-chorus is full of preppy cheering and taunting along with the all so infectious clapping beat as Namie sings on about her sweet kisses how much you;ll be in love with them! Moving into the chorus and throughout the whole song is a distinct drum line which adds to the songs catchy-ness. The verses serve a more serious Namie in tone full of sass as she brags about herself and the power she'll hold over anyone who has a liking to her for example Namie taunts "I’m gonnabe with ya I’ll make you my prisoner". Moving onto the Chorus Namie let's it all come out vocally as she serves us some flawless belching vocals while serving us some pretty fun filled lyrics like "Take a pic so hot I ask you, do you enjoy what you see?" and " Bubble blown till it’s pop I can make your lips rock " Not the most ground breaking but nonetheless catchy enough and fun to sing along too! The song follows the same format up until the chorus where namie re-cites part of the pre chorus again in higher vocals before giving us another flawless vocal performance over a slighty change beat that's less cheerleader-ish and more euphoric before going into another seductive taunt about her kisses. From there the beat drops only to unleash a furry that is the ending chorus with a harder hitting instrumental and multiple ad libs which leave you with chills before the song finishes with the infectious pre-chorus chant and a giggle from ms.amuro!.
Overall Sweet Kisses is a fresh return from Namie Amuro and seems to be this summer Call Me Maybe with a more mature touch. Though lyrically it isn't her strongest overall her vocal delivery makes up for its lack and it's infectious chants and drums are sure to keep this tune stuck in ones head. In conclusion we here at Billboard give this Cheer leading Summer Anthem a 4 out of 5 Stars! We hope to see more from Namie beyond this (And not another ballerina) and don't forget yo pre-order your copy of the single on Itunes and Tune in tonight on America's Got Talent to catch Namie herself debut her single!
