im literally the worst at this. i can never please all 3 judges.
You just need to find a good balance. Which is sucking up to Collin, sucking DripDrip off and making it easy for Katie to process because she's a busy girl and you have about 5 seconds to impress her.

Now now --- wouldn't want to give anyone any crazy ideas!

I was so rooting for you to bounce back and bloom like a lotus (not a la Xtina, though )! I could see you slowly improving and it makes me sad that I won't be able to watch you progress more-so through the season, but it was great having you and thank you so much for your participation and bringing what you did to the game. Hope to see you around!
Well, everyone else - stay tuned! I'll post highlights / averages momentarily, next round to follow soon
Weird to go from 1st to almost scraping into the flop trinity to back up to 1st. I must say I love the unpredictability of this game, but I'm having large heights and very low lows it seems, not much consistency. A Gaga tea.
A T R L ' s H O L Y T R I N I T Y Highlights: Round Four
Doogle Lisa Mitchell ▲ Neopolitan Dreams Tracy Chapman ▲ Behind The Wall Jason Mraz ▲ I'm Yours
Rocketing back to the top this week is Doogle, coming for purity from a variety of striking
angles. From one perspective, a natural-feeling dreamy jam; from another, an a'capella piece, which
simply exudes purity; lastly, a timeless piece we've all heard, featuring minimal-yet-excellent production
and the rawest, purest truths you could possibly find in a full-devotion love song.

Neopolitan Dreams
One of my favourite songs, and I feel like it really works with this theme. It’s got a very simple, natural feel to it that manages to transform into a big song without being complicated. Lisa’s vocals are beautiful to listen to and the video also compliments the theme nicely.
Tracy Chapman
Behind The Wall
What better way to define “stripped” than a song with absolutely no music at all? Short and tragic in lyrical content, it relies solely on her stunning voice. Admittedly it does not have lyrics that really scream "pure", but the strength and emotion conveyed in just voice makes this a classic without the need for any instrumental at all.
Jason Mraz
I’m Yours
I feel like this is the most self-explanatory one of the three. I’m still sad that this became such an overexposed song, because loads of people probably hear it and cringe and run for the off button of whatever it’s playing on. But for me, this cute little acoustic song is great and came to mind pretty much straight away.
Adem! The xx ▲ You've Got the Love (Florence + the Machine Cover) Shlohmo ▲ Forgot I Was Here Active Child ▲ Johnny Belinda
After a slow climb to the top, Adem! joins the Golden ranks this week with his most paid-off
risk-taking yet. Taking a left field approach on purity, this trinity showcases the natural-feeling production
in modern electronic music, a trait we often forget can be attributed to such a genre. Beginning with the
ever-so-natural XX, this trinity is not only "pure", but sonically pleasurable for a trendy crowd.

This challenge seemed easy at first. Find a pure song, or two, or three, which could easily be done by taking three simpler songs with uncomplicated acoustic arrangements, and it's a day. But I've never been one to do things the easy way. That's why for this round I decided to find three songs that feel pure in a genre many consider to be the opposite: electronic. Considering electronic music "impure" because "it's not real" has been a widespread opinion among many people but this entry is here to prove it wrong. This entry is here to prove that electronic music and songs with electronic influences can be just as pure as a live piano ballad and as full of heart and emotion as one of those, too. So I hope you, the listener, the viewer, the interpreter, do enjoy.

It's an even bigger risk that my first song is an upbeat remix of Florence & the Machine's single You Got the Love made by the xx. They keep the same pure feeling of the original song and then enhance and rearrange it with electronic effects and new vocal tracks. The whole thing feels fun yet introspective. As for the lyrical side of things, what could be more pure than love?
The second song of the trinity, Forgot I Was Here by Shlohmo, may not have words but the music itself speaks wonders. Ethereal, melodic breathy sounds and plucks dance throughout the song, sounding as real as any "real" instrument. The song is simple and clean, and the sound smooths over your ears in a way that can't be described as anything but pure.

Active Child's calm, ambient Johnny Belinda closes off this trinity. The song is also simple and pure, yet a very different type of simple and pure than the previous two; for this piece, there's a great feeling of sadness and regret. The lyrics are beautiful yet the language is simplistic, taking this trinity to its final stop.
Solopop Sinead O'Connor ▲ Nothing Compares 2 U Matt Corby ▲ Brother Crowded House ▲ Fall At Your Feet
Joining the Golden ranks for his second consecutive week is Solopop, reinventing his great
throwback brand for purity. At the top of the deck is the infamous Sinead O'Connor with a simply timeless
and minimalistic love song, followed by two breathtaking alternative pieces that would certainly
by difficult to tire of (unless you're actually trying to sleep - then, have at it!), accomplishing a timeless feel.

Nothing Compares 2 U| Sinéad O'Connor
Originally Prince wrote it for himself but Sinéad O'Connor is the one everyone knows and it's for a good reason it's incredible. I mean the opening with very little instruments and then her voice bellows through and knocks everyone out with its simple beauty and grace.
Brother | Matt Corby
This artist is one I thought of quit quickly and the majority of his songs I say would apply. A very simple beat with beautiful lyrics and a great voice. Love, love love this song.
Fall at Your Feet | Crowded House
It's hard not to cry when you listen to this song. Just incredibly gorgeous and simple. So hard to talk about a song when all you need to do is listen and just be taken away.

If your average looks strikingly different from last round and it seems odd, it's because I realized
I had been doing them wrong up until now and decided to quickly fix them all, they're good now!
