At first I thought a July 16th release was too late, and a July 9th release would be better. But considering the Today Show performance is on the 18th, so having that during its premiere week will give it a good boost. Hopefully they'll be smart and premiere the music video that week too.
iTunes release + Today Show performance + music video all in the same week would be an amazing combo for an opening week.
I feel like Simon is just screwing up all his acts along with Little Mix:
- Not having Wings get performed until June
- Releasing Chloe a couple weeks after it's iTunes date to radio
- Releasing the lyric video a month before the iTunes date
It's like he's trying to set all three of them up for failure.
