I honestly fail to see why people are making such a huge fuss about her tying with MJ.

Sure, I'll admit there's artists I don't particularly care for (musically speaking), but I don't see much of a reason to belittle their accomplishments just because I don't like their music. Anyone can say Katy is irrelevant, desperate, pressed, ***-guzzling or whatever other adjective you wish to use, but tell me: where is the productivity in that? Does it make Katy Perry's accomplishment any less? Does it make you any better of a person? I think not. If you don't like her (or her music), don't listen to her music. Eassyyyyy.

Regardless, I'm proud of Katy and it is in my personal opinion that she is deserving! Go Katy!

Ok, of course she is not MJ.. But the sucess that she is having is really incredible..

You can't be MJ after 4 years.. The thing is that she is growing as an artist. It takes a loong time to become an important artist and she is working a lot to do it.. And well, these are the results

Katy is young, she has a lot to offer, really important potential to still being in the charts

The achievement is magnificent. It will be truly hard an artist to do that. You should be glad because the legal music still having amazing results and she is being part of that and that's good

Congrats to Katy Perry for her 5th #1.

Some people maybe upset but she was caught in a slight lose, lose situation. If Katy got #1 people would be upset and having meltdowns. If Katy didnt get the #1, her fans would be upset (myself included) and those that hate her would laugh in her face. No matter which way she went she lost with someone.
