I find it interesting because ATRL can be such a good place for that. You can 'discover' yourself here, free of judgment, and any sexuality is accepted. You can open up more here than what would be comfortable for you in real life. I know I did, and it really helped me gather the confidence to come out and be myself with the people I care about.
It's just something to consider.
